Re: Boxing discussion
I agree with Anfield. Floyd would absolutely destroy Manny. Doubt we will ever see the fight though.

Re: Boxing discussion
I'll second that I honestly don't see hoe Manny beats Floyd I've always said It I would favor Floyd over Manny.
Also an update on the Peterson Khan situation It seems If Peterson doesn't get a license the card will get cancelled, I'll be a cynic again but I have a feeling Peterson gets his licence under certain provisions and will serve some form of sentence post May 19th. I suppose the one upside to the situation is I will definitely be watching Strikeforce GP Final on that night.

Re: Boxing discussion
That looks a good card Sheldan credit to Hearn some real good fights the 2 rematches should be good although I expect Proska to beat Hope this time round I think he under estimated Kerry the first time. Although Derry is coming off a great win I expect Gavin to bring him back down to earth.
Jones should be a good test for Kell he's on a bit of a roll as of late and I think he is No3 with IBF so there is a good chance If Kell wins this he could get the winner of Mike Jones & Randall Bailey.

Re: Boxing discussion
Gutted the fight has been cancelled god damn I was hoping my cynical opinion would have come to fruition.
It seems Khan will be back either July 7 or 14 and one possible name is recent Erik Morales conquer and current WBC Danny Garcia should be a good scrap It also seems Lamont Peterson might be keeping the IBF strap.

Re: Boxing discussion
The guy who lost will have £30's on Kimbo due to money he got for the dive. (Obviously it will be much more than £30 but I just saw that as a good joke).

Andre Berto fails a drug test, his rematch with Victor Ortiz on June 23rd is now most likely off.

Ah for fuck sake! I was looking forward to see that!
Big blow to boxing though with 2 high profile fights having to be cancelled for failed drug tests.

Aye great performance from Pricey you can see why Fury to quote Bruce Dickinson "Run to the Hills".
Got to say I think Kessler takes the KO of the night, maybe even the year that was a beautiful Left Hook.

Re: Boxing discussion
I actually missed that until i seen the end of the broadcast, luckily I SKY+ the fight Kessler was rocked by a big right from Green he was in a bit of bother the knock down was slightly debatable though it looked like a push/punch that sent him down.

Re: Boxing discussion
Just seen the fight between Ashley Theophane and Darren Hamilton, brilliant win for Hamilton. I was at the Echo a few weeks back when he stepped in on around 48 hours notice to face John Watson and he beat him. Now he has stepped in on 4 days notice and won the British light welterweight title. Huge fall from grace for Theophane who has gone from beating the likes of DeMarcus Corley and Delvin Rodriguez and also losing a close split decision to Danny Garcia to now losing to a guy on 4 days notice. I think they should rematch because it was a close fight but even with a victory for Theophane in the rematch I can't see him getting back to where he was 2 years ago.

Re: Boxing discussion
Got huge respect for Kessler. I was at the millennium stadium when myself and 55k people screamed who are you at him, after 4rds we realised he was possibly the guy to wreck everyone's evening by defeating calzaghe. Was a great fight to watch. Thought he was gona go on to better things but theres no disgrace in losing to Ward.

Re: Boxing discussion
In response to something that either P4P or Cowboy said a few weeks back, I also think that Haye VS Chisora will be on a PPV channel set up by Fwank. Buncey said last night during the Kessler event that he will let us know on his boxing hour on monday "how we will be able to watch the Haye-Chisora fight." Well surely we should already know as it should be on BoxNation, but it looks like Fwank is going to charge £15 a pop on a PPV channel.
