I think the price and a proper look at Bale's season will see him stay at Spurs for next year. He's actually been quite inconsistent. He's had some incredible performances but some poor ones too.

VDV has never been known for his loyalty but I think he'll give it one more year at Spurs.

Unfortunately for Spurs I think your CL season will be a one off. You're going to finish 6th this season IMO, and other than United all the clubs above you will spend big and improve whereas i'm not sure you will improve if Modric goes, regardless of who you sign.

Chelsea are the best team in England. It's undeniable. For them to have had the ridiculous amount of injuries they had and suffer a 3 month drop-off and still come back to close the gap on United like they did was impressive. When they had a fully fit team they dominate the league from August through to late October. And again from Feb til now.

Funny how those periods you mentioned involved Man utd beating Chelsea 4 times this season.

Dropped only 2 points at home all season, unbeaten for around half of the season and only lost 4 games all season....

But yeah, I see what you mean about a team we have beaten 3 times this season being better than us.

United had less injuries than any of the other top clubs, had less internal disruption and had an easy first half of the season with only 3 games against the other teams in the top 6.

The CL means nothing towards the league. Chelsea are the best team in England. On current form, Liverpool are the best team in England.

And they have had alot of injuries, Rio has missed half the premier league season, Valencia had his leg snapped in 2 in september, Rooney injured at start of season and had "internal dispute", Scholes , Anderson, Fletcher all missing big chunks of this years campaign with injuries, Park going to Asia cup in january and come back doing his hamstring in, Hargreaves missing whole season again.



Man utd clearly deserve this title and have been the best team this season.


Chelsea sacking Wilkins is no where near as dramatic as Rooney handing in a transfer request and falling out with manager and fans. Just because it effected chelsea more shows how weak they are.

In a 38 game season, the team that accumulates the most points has been the best team........

And what happened in United's second half? Lost to Wolves, Lost to Chelsea, Lost to Arsenal, Got smacked by liverpool.

United have been brilliant at home and that's been their saving grace. The away form of a mid-table team.

Had Valencia been fit all season then Nani would have been on the left wing or the bench all season doing nothing. Nani was United's best player for most of the season because he played on the right. He wouldn't have been if Valencia had been fit. Since he's gone back to the left he's done absolutely nothing

Park is good against Chelsea and Arsenal. He's shite otherwise. He played against Chelski and Arsenal.
Rooney was not hurt. He through a tantrum and went on holiday so he wouldn't get booed by United fans for being a greedy cunt who doesn't care about your club. He's was one of the worst players in the league until March! United were better off without him. Berbatov flourished without him. Berbatov without Rooney - top scorer in the league. Berbatov with Rooney - sub.


Lampard, Terry, Ivanovic, Bosingwa, Essien, Mikel, Drogba, Malouda, Zhirkov, Anelka. Most of them are actual starters as well. Players who IMPROVE their team. Have all missed numerous games through injury. A far worse injury list. Arsenal and Spurs both had more injuries and nobody had more injuries than Liverpool. Chesty, when you are limited on the number of players you can have in a squad it's IMPOSSIBLE to cope with the number of injuries some team have had.

Chelsea sacking Wilkins had a far bigger effect on them, and was far more of a distraction than Rooney's tantrum and greed.

Chelsea are the best team in England. Simple as.

Oh, and they didn't lose twice to Arsenal. Not sure what you're talking about. And United beating them in the CL has no bearing on the best team in the league. Liverpool were by far the best English team in Europe for a number of years but we were 3rd/4th best in England.

I'd like to be the first to send my sympothy to Axe, and his tragic West Ham team, who let a 2-0 lead against Wigan slip, and lost 3-2 to send them down in to the Championship, which led to Avram Grant being sacked minutes after the game

Also, a question to Anfield, what happened to your lads today! They've been excellent over the last few games, and were playing a Spurs side who have been terrible recently, the winners more or less guarenteed the 5th place spot and Europe, and Liverpool lost! I suppose it lets them concentrate on the league next season, because i've got them finishing in the top 4 next season, along with United, Chelsea and City, 5th place for Arsenal.

I might have a cheeky punt on Birmingham and Blackburn to go down, I can see Blackpool beating us on Sunday because we'll have a shit team out, and I think on the back of what happened today, Wigan will be fired up to go to Stoke and win, plus Spurs will beat Blackburn, and Wolves should beat Birmingham.

Any 2 of 5 still to go down, Arsenal and City battling it out for 3rd, and Liverpool and Spurs battling it out for 5th, still a lot to be decided on the last day.

the relegation race is heating up the last day of the season will be interesting.

We were fairly poor today, mainly because of the change of system I think - didn't suit Maxi and Kuyt to play so wide, but we outplayed Spurs for the most part. Howard Webb is simply the worst ref in the game. We had a stone wall penalty and numerous freekicks waved away while Spurs were given anything. The man is a cunt who holds an admitted vendetta against Liverpool. We've still got a chance at 5th, i think we'll beat Villa and Birmingham will go to Spurs needing something.

England has been given an extra spot in Europa League because of the Fair Play rankings, and Spurs are top of that, so if Liverpool wouldn't have cocked it up then both Liverpool and Spurs would have qualified and everybody would have been happy! But if Spurs finish 5th, either Fulham, Blackpool or even West Ham are set to get the Europa League place.

Forest have managed to fuck up once again in the play offs with an absolutely shocking display of defending.
