Surely they should be going after the likes of Robbie Keane, Pavlychenco, Daniel Sturridge or Even Micheal "Where were you in Istandbul" owen.

To be fair to fat head Bruce it was a hell of a deal, they only paid 10mil for him 18 months ago and the 18-24mill that has been reported should be enough to get them 2 or 3 players that would improve the squad, alot of my mates are season ticket holders and they were convinced that Downing would be part of the deal when it first broke..........................I'm still hoping Liverpool sign him tho!!!!

isnt the deal £18mill now could rise to 24 mill. but dont sunderland owe tottenham 6 million sell on?

As a Geordie, I am over the moon with Agent Bruce's actions. Getting rid of a decent player like Bent, and replacing him with the likes of Bothroyd/Rodallega or Fuller warms my cockles.

Looks like Fuller deal is nearly done, 3mill for a 31yr old crock is crazy. He's got 3 goals in 23 this season and Fat Head Bruce said he knows he won't pass a medical buts there's ways round it!!!! MADNESS I TELL YA!!!!!

Not sure how much they owe Spurs but I still think its a good deal, Bent is one of them players who need at least 3 chances to score 1.

35m for Carroll seems a bit steep though - wish Torres was off to Spain though and not Chelsea

yeah it is quite expensive but hes only 22 he has so much potential and already a great player in the long run he will be worth it. Charlie adam looks like he will be a liverpool player by 2night great news for the club bringin in so much quality which we badly need to challenge for europe

A bit steep is the understatement of the century, football is mad, especially with English players! If Carroll is worth 15 mill at the moment, my trusty left peg must be worth 100k
Konchesky will do well for Forest I think, out of his depth at Liverpool but still worth a punt at Championship.

newcastle get £35 million for carroll and get ireland on loan WTF.
