Im not sure how we got to this point Laughing I love Shogun as a fighter and I really enjoy watching him, I think he has had the most impressive GP run and win ever. Anfield said Lil Nog was boring, and I said his fight with Shogun was a FOTY canditate in that year.

I must disagree about Coleman vs Shogun though, both were terrible for different reasons. Any time two guys gass out in the first round its going to suck. Remember, Dana gives out these awards and he thought Meathead vs Junk was a good fight! Laughing

Ive seen the Evangelista Santos and Erik Wanderley (Because I read Shogun vs Wanderlei and though Wow!!!) Both well worth a watch, real Slugfests, was weird that Shogun went in as a relatively unknown kid and a big underdog... the commentators were blown away with what they saw... ill try and find links when I get home.

Hang on a minute, where did you hear that Chestie? I know that the big fella is reknown for swinging for the fences and having a solid noggin, sounds like an opponent for Ubereem!

Cool beans, once again, thanks Chestie. Although I think he's dodging Vermola. In the grand scheme of things, Grove hits really hard and his ground and clinch game is seriously lacking. I was in the arena during his fight against Broughton and he was serious roughed up by the Bear. Also, I saw Vermola's last fight in person at Ultimate Challenge UK. I see him doing exactly the same thing to Grove. Vermola will dodge Grove's barage of haymakers and take him to the ground with force and let the jack hammers that he calls arms loose. This is definitely going to finish in the first round with Vermola walking away. I see good things in his future.

1st ive heard of Vermola.... Grove is a 1st class Bum though, he is a bog standard Cage Rage huge doorman heavyweight!

Interesting news on Dream 13... Zaromskis might be defending his title against Kiyoshi Tamura!!! Tamura for those how dont know like other Japanese favorites of mine started with ProWrestling and took up Catchwrestling like Minowa and Sakuraba. He holds wins over both. He also beat Pat Miletich, Jeremy Horn, Renzo Gracie, Mikhail Illoukhine (Who beat Igor and Couture), Mo Smith, and held Frank Shamrock to a Draw...

The Guy Is a legend and like Minowa has made a point of fighting much LArger figers, V.Overeem, Illoukhine, Babalu, Big Nog and even got a title shot against Wanderlei during his Pride reign!!

The guy really is a bad ass Mofo!! He is 40 years old though and hasnt fought since 2008... I actually though he was retired!! Really interesting matchup all the same!

If he wins could be be in the HOF?

yes Tamura is an excellent fighter, this will be another exciting fight i am 100% sure of that.

and yes Tamura is borderline hall of fame, if he wins he is in for sure.

he will have had the longest career of any title holder ever?

    he started in 95!!!

Frank Shamrock started in 94 but he was only champ until 2 years ago so i think Tamura would take it.

he has fought and beaten almost all the japanese vets.

    No, i didn't.

I said both had been in a lot of boring fights, which they have, and big nog is the never the one that makes a fight exciting. His most exciting fights were against Fedor x 2, CroCop and Sapp. And they were exciting because he was getting his ass handed to him in all 3.

What about both Barnett fights? His first fight with Barnett was one of the most exciting HW battles ever. Thats when I really started liking both guys. Barnett isn't a particularly exciting fighter, not boring but far from the first person I think of when you think of an exciting fighter.

Two technically excellent matches, but not exciting fights. Interesting certainly. Like watching a Machida fight. But not compelling edge of the seat stuff.

    SF in May... (From Wikipedia)

Frank Shamrock and Pat Miletich have verbally agreed to fight each other on the card, however bout agreements have not yet been finalized.

Alistair Overeem is expected to defend the Strikeforce Heavyweight Title against a yet-to-be-named opponent. Bobby Lashley is rumored as an early choice to fill this spot.

Cung Le has expressed interest to fight at this event
    ------------------------------------------------------------------

Lashley is getting a title shot against OVeroid??? Crazy stuff!!! I hope its true about Miletich and F.Shammy fighting! Great news. I think Lashley is going to get well and truly fucked up if Overoid gets a hold of him!!

If Lashley puts Overeem on his back it's bad times for the roided one! I doubt he'll get a title shot though, not coming off the back of Wes Sims.

Seems like a Wikpieda rumor! I havnt heard it anywere, having said that Overoid is ready to Defend his SF title. Fedor is defending the WAMMA one against Werdum the month before. Neither of them can take on Overoid so who is left? Rogers coming off a loss or Bigfoot coming off a loss? As crazy as it sounds I could see them Giving Lashley a title shot to keep him happy.

I think he would have a lot of trouble with Overoid, Overoids reach and Striking especially his Knees would make that TD hard to score....

Neer vs Alvaez should be some fucking fight surprised at the catchweight though.

The only Logical fight for Ubereem is Barnett.

Simms vs Meat Truck is the lowest of the low, 2 pot bellied C class fighers swinging for the fences... I can actually see Meat Truck bulldozing Simms if he shows up out of shape.

haha yeah Brandon lee Hinkle is a serial killer! A few people have said that before. I think Tim will walk through him, He really really needs to get back on track another win over a bum should but him in a position to talk to SF.

George Ive no Idea about Lashley, he had said he would rather a shot at Overoid, but it looks like Overoid is fighting in Dream not SF in his next fight so Rogers vs Lashlety could go ahead.... Supprised its all quiet from the Bigfoot camp. He should be hounding Rogers for a fight.

Lashley was supposed to fight some bum in Miami but it wasnt sanctioned as it wasnt competitive enough, instead he was fed Sims on a 5 days notice and now wants to take on Fedor or Overeem....... lol
