which event is Spencer fisher fighting Ludwig? you have them both fighting each other at UFC on VS and then 10 days later at UFC FN21.

Baws.
Looking at his record Perosh looks like a complete can.
I'm changing my prediction to Mirko 1st round stoppage, I had 2nd.

Re: MMA Calendar
Perosh was helping Pokrajac train up for Te Huna and he is going to get killed - he normally fights at LHW and Jamie Te Huna nearly killed him in his last fight... If CroCop doesn\'t absolutely murder this guy he might as well take up knitting.

Will the Cro Cop fight still count in the predictions league?
Quite a few folk have gone for Rothwell. If it does then it's my trump fight.

Re: MMA Calendar
Apparently there are a lot of CroCop fans in Australia from his time in Pride.
I'm glad he's fighting. Let him kick the can into oblivion and then fight Rothwell in a couple of months.

Re: MMA Calendar
It would be fair to have the Crcop fight count as there are plenty of Rothwell picks and picks for Crocop not winning is 1st rd ko. which is what will happen against this can. Unless everyone changes their pick of course.
Its like ive travelled back in time and am watching Crcop being fed in pride again.

Re: MMA Calendar
It's not Mirko's fault that Rothwell has gotten a case of the shits and won't fight.
At the end of the day, he's been through and paid for a full training camp, and travelled all the way to Australia and spent weeks away from home. He deserves to fight. Not his fault the event is in Australia and there was no way to get a replacement who wasn't already in Australia.

Re: MMA Calendar
Normal protocol for the UFC, is to cancel the fight if a guy has pulled out so late. It happened to Matyushenko at 108, it has happened to Haseman at 110. And many others before. It is unfortunate for the fighter who has paid for training and worked hard but thats life....
The UFC probably have a policy to re-imburse their fighters if their opponent pulls out so late. probably not the full amount but they wont let them starve....
There is no reason to this complete mismatch of a fight against a not only a very poor opponent but also one whole weight class below him and has 2 days to prepare for the fight. He could get seriously hurt.
The UFC just want to have Crocop still on the card, just like Lashley in Miami, i didnt like it when Strikeforce did it , and i dont like it now.
This fight would never get sanctioned in the states.

I was thinking the exact same thing and it sucks and I'm really disapointed with the decision,it's one thing I've always thought that seperates the UFC against other promotions is that they don't feed their top fighters with bums just to pad out their records or to give the crowd a one sided mauling, they only match up fighters that are with in about 10-15 ranking places of each other usually.
Surely Cro-cops stock has not dropped that much has it
Thay should of cancelled the fight or maybe swopped it so he could face the better home grown fighter in Te-Huna and Perosh could of fought Pokrajak.

Re: MMA Calendar
i dont think that would be fair on te huna to be honest.
or (depending on how good te huna really is) on Mirko.
having to fight each other on such short notice.
they did what is best given the unfortunate circumstances i think.
cancelling the fight would mean alot of extremely pissed off Croation/Aussies (there are loads of croats in aus travelling for this).

Rumour has it that Rampage was offered a chance to fight Crocop on 2 days notice, but he refused. I dont blame him.

Re: MMA Calendar
That sounds crazy, Rampage hasnt trained in how long? I suppose he is helping Bisping prepare. Im fairly unimpressed if Ramapge turned that down. I suppose the Evans fight is bigger but Crocop vs Ramapge was a supperfight id always wanted to see! Id love to see Ramapge at Heavyweight, he wouldnt be much smaller than the likes of Pat Barry, Crocop, Nog, Valesquez, Couture when he was heavy... I think it would be cool to see. Ramapge would get made a fool out of by Machida if we ever get to see that.

Re: MMA Calendar
If Rampage beats Evans do you think he would fight Shogun for the title? Baring in mind what happened when he fought him in Pride.
I think he would, he may be an annoying dick but he still is good fighter and would probably want to avenge that loss just like he did Wandi.

Re: MMA Calendar
Yeah for sure Rampage would go after the rematch. For the amount of shit I give him recently he has shown in most UFC fights he has improved from Pride. Back then Ninja Rua beat him (Not officially) I think Shogun still schools him but Rampage wouldnt shy away from it, he is a much better Boxer now and apart from that everything else is at least as good as it was in Pride.
