All the hype videos have sucked me in...i'm pretty buzzed about this fight!

I cant see this going the distance, what with Carwin's track record.

For a bit of fun, lets say this fight won't go the distance and see who can predict that exact moment the fight finishes and how.

The closest gets.....a night with Cristiane "cyborg" Santos....HA!

My guess: Carwin (KO)Overhand Right, Round 2: 3:34 seconds

I was going to go for Lesner GNP finish at 3.33 of the 1st rd but if thats the prize,I'm going to say Brock flying off the top rope landing into an inverted triangle submission win at 4.59 of the 5th rd.

I have picked against Carwin in his last 2 fights and he has proven me wrong. I was pratically laughing at people here who picked Carwin to beat Mir in prediction league. Laughing

Im not going to say who i think will win, but if Brock takes him down he will win by TKO, if Brock cant take him down, and it becomes a stand up slug fest, then its 50:50 on who'll come out on top. First one that connects flush wins.

It's going to be epic fight though. Regardless of what happens.

Ben despite your Avatar you might be the biggest Lesnar fan on the forum! I always thought it was me but lately you've become a Lesnar nuthugger Laughing

Anyway Im going with Lesnar for this one, he is quicker, stronger and bigger than Carwin and I think his shot is too explosive for Carwin to defend and from there I expect Lesnar to cave his head in.

Now thats a prize! Whats the bookies odds on Carwin?

I made a few quid betting on him against Gonzaga, said it was a 50/50 fight but predicted Gonzaga cause I always do Laughing

But the Bookies had Carwin as a huge underdog and I bet on him thinking if it isnt 50/50 odds id back Carwin.

In this fight thought ive no confidence in Carwin. I dont know if Ring Rust will be too big a factor, in a way Lesnar can get away with it because he always had long between fights and is healthier. Carwins Wrestling seriously isnt up to scratch, Lesnar will dominate him on the ground...

Lesnar is a wildman on the ground those knees to Herring were brutal and now he is quicker and more explosive you can bet that his GnP is going to be ruthless, If he gets Carwin down Carwin is staying down, if Gonzaga can just single leg him into his halfguard Lesnar will! Laughing

I wonder if Carwins reach is 80" as well, with his real hight being 5"11 - 6"0 and him being billed as up to 6"5 and saying that he is 280lbs+ (when he weighed 250lbs not to long ago) makes you wonder if the reach is really 80". I do think that will be a factor, Shane has dangerous straights and so does Brock, If Brock has speed and Reach on him its going to cancell out a big Weapon of his. Carwin might want to avoid grappling and keep the fight on the outside... I think Brock may beat him on the feet so I think he is screwed.

What do people think Greg Jacksons gameplan for him is? I can only Imagine trying to repeat the Mir fight? Couture had him there and Carwin might want to try the Mir gameplan?

Wains punch stops him in his tracks, people say Lesnars chin might not hold up... you think Carwin has worries? Gonzaga doesnt drop everyone with his punches to be honest either... Carwin has some low hands when he is throwing punches. Lesnar is taller and holds his higher.

Im backing Brock in the feet here.

You've got to take into consideration, that Brock was ultra super cautious against Mir at 100, he was very worried about getting submitted again, and against Herring i think he would have done more damage (if thats at all possible) had he not lost his first UFC fight previously.

This fight with Carwin, we will see a more confident Brock, now that he has had time to pick up all the basics of MMA, and we will a more aggresive Brock than at 100 (How scary is that?), he is not going to worry about Carwins like he did Mir.

Once it hits the ground, i see a berzerker mode looming. bounce

I'm going against the trend here, see the fight heading to the cage early, some short punches from Carwin, then a Carwin right hand on the way out catching Gorilla-boy sweet, Night night. Carwin KO 1'50 in the first.

There's probably a reason why I'm not leading the predictions league.... Razz

Haha fair play! Carwin vs Cain will be a great fight if it happens Cain's boxing so so much better technically than Carwins and both have the power to drop each other, Carwin would have serious power advantage but cain is lightning with his hands for a heavy, I wonder how they stack up wrestling wise im not too sure about wrestling credentials to be honest! Laughing

Ballsy pick though, I just can see it. His gameplan that me and you think he will try relies on him actually being able to Bull Lesnar into the cage and keep him there, I dont see that despite the Couture fight, I sorta think Lesnar was relaxing on the cage and you gotta think thats what he is looking out for.

I think Brock will wrestle him to a tired UD, with a few scares along the way.

Wrestling is equal, Carwin wins the stand-up by a distance, not sure about the ground games. I think if one gets on top of the other it's over because i don't see either being much good off their back but both have incredible top control.

I'm hoping Carwin wins, I really am.

I really don't know why I want Lesnar to lose every fight! I don't dispute he is legitimate, but when it comes to wrestling I will never forget World of Sport, and the famous 'Grab ear, stamp on floor move' Embarassed Sorry...

It'll be interesting to see, if bombs are thrown and connected, who can take them. Gonzaga had Carwin shaking like a shitting dog when he connected those three punches. His eyes rolled and I think one more would have been game over. If Lesnar gets his weight and some torque behind a big punch, then Carwin is going out (in the same way that all the Carwin lovers are saying Lesnar will)
