Pudzianowski

I've been hearing some rumblings that Mariusz Pudzianowski is going to try his hand at MMA... I fully expect him to be woeful, but with his strength and athleticism maybe he could put on a couple of entertaining fights in the lesser orgs?

Anyone know anything more about this?

No I posted it a while back on 606... Apparently he has done Boxing and Karate so if he is half decent he wont just bull on top of them and ground a pound... he could well be an exciting figher.

Now ive no Idea when his debut will be but I assume he will need to take some time off to ajust his Body. He is around 290lbs so Is going to have to start cutting a bit (assuming he wasnts to be a heavyweight)

But apparently he was a good boxer and has been at Karate for years... Ill try to find a bit out. If he is half decent im sure his size and strength will see him through most fights, Maby a possible Lashley opponent if he gets a win or 2?

If he has a karate and boxing base then maybe he could develop well? He's only 32ish isn't he? His size should mean he could stuff takedowns and bully people around without too much wrestling skill needed, so if he can learn a couple of subs perhaps his game wouldn't be too bad?

I think he'd almost certainly have to be a Heavyweight, can't see him cutting 85lbs, he's pretty shredded at 290!

I must admit I enjoy seeing the big guys fight so I'd be interested in watching him if this does materialise..... always enjoyed his battles at WSM.

Imagine the potential slams if he does come to MMA?!!!

Its December and its in Poland... I could be wrong but I think Headbutts are legal in Polish MMA!!!

I Mean the guys a beast obviously ! blitzes worlds strongest man eevry time. If he has decent skills he will have a strength and power advantage in every fight.

My main concern would be drug testing. I used to have a deputy manager who was a strongman and got an invite to Britains strongest- Some of the stories about the shit guys use even at that level.

Yeah I don't reckon we'll see him fighting in the US any time soon!!

He's got loads of potential fights against the other users in Japan though. They should put on a show called 'Roid Rage' and have Overeem, Barnett and Pudzianowski headlining. Even big Timmeh could go along, who can forget how stacked and ripped he looked he looked after his own little indiscretion

Pudzianowski is making his MMA debut on the 11th of Dec against Polish pro boxer Marcin Najman.
The fights will take place in Polands KSW promotions.

Pudzianowski is 6'1 and weighs 285lbs,he has been training in kick boxing and holds a fourth kyu green belt in Kyokushin kaikan.

Najman holds a pro boxing record of 17 fights,13 wins,9 by KO and 4 loses.
