Fedor on dropping to 205 Empty Fedor on dropping to 205

Yes, I have talked about [dropping to 205] with my manager, Vadim Finklestein, but as far as I know there has been no offer made by Strikeforce for me to fight as a light heavyweight. It was not the size or weight advantage that caused my loss [to Silva]. Its just a fight and anything can happen. The game plan did not work out the way I wanted it to, but the weight was definitely not the reason.

For me it was a moment of disappointment when I lost the fight against Antonio Silva. It was not a moment of weakness, but at that particular time it was the way I felt. Back in Russia I talked about it with my management and my spiritual father and my decision now is to continue fighting.

Sad to say but if Fedor thinks the weight had nothing to do with the loss to Big Foot then he is delusional, thankfully though judging on what he has said he is leaving the door open to dropping to 205 if Strikeforce chooses to offer him a match there, hopefully they will.

You say it's Fedor being delusional, maybe it is.

I would say it's him not making excuses.

He lost to a better fighter on the day just like every fighter will one day. This is a sport that if you go undefeated then you haven't fought the people that you should have. everyone is beatable on there day.

Hendo said he wants to fight Fedor. He is the Strikeforce 205lb champion.

There are no interesting challengers for him in the near future.

Fedor has stated that he is willing to fight at 205lbs.

    ...

So expect to see Fedor v Griggs and for Hendo to wait until december to defend his belt against Mike Kyle.

I reckon SF would do better to put Hendo vs Fedor on as a Lhw title fight, I dont think anyone would make a fuss of fast tracking Fedor to the title over Mousasi...

I think SF will still put on Fedor vs the looser of Werdum/Overeem, I reckon a fight with Overeem will still interest people and I reckon Fedor and his camp will be keep to rematch Werdum as its an easier fight to avenge than Bigfoot IMO.
