Fuck it anyway! I wanted to vote for JDS but I'm on my blackberry and couldn't see which was which. I guessed JDS was the second option. I was wrong. Shit.

Re: BROCK or JDS?
I knew it was just a matter of time for somebody to make this thread after the difference of opinion people have been saying haha.
I'm going for Lesnar, not clear cut at all though, it will be a tough fight, i'm not going to be one to write off either JDS or Lesnar, this fight can go two ways, Lesnar takes down JDS and probably wins, or JDS keeps it standing and probably wins, tough fight to call, but Lesnar is my boy so i'll back him as always.

Re: BROCK or JDS?
For me, there's no doubt.
I see Lesnar learning nothing from his last 2 fights, trying to steamroll JDS and getting KTFO. He cannot take a punch, and I cannot see where he can win the fight, even is he takes JDS down, JDS has very good BJJ. I would like to think I was wrong, and Lesnar surprised me, but all the indications are, that his only plan is the take down and mount.

Brown belt but only 1 sub fair enough he usually knocks every one out though, not seen much of his ground game yet,

Re: BROCK or JDS?
I voted Brock and I'l probably end up picking Brock when it comes down to it. I see Brock landing a takedown and don't see JDS been able to get back up.
I personally like Brock he's not my fave fighter but I like what he brings to the table and no matter how much you may hate him everyone would pick him to be on their ultimate UFC Fight card even if it's just to watch him get smashed.
2brutal get this avatar problem sorted I'm sure it's simple enough. If I can fathom my way round it you should. Bring your iPad to work next time and I'l put you one on.

Re: BROCK or JDS?
Sly Uses. How do you figure that he cant take a punch. He got smashed for 5 straight minuetes against Carwin and although i would argue that in a less high profile match it may have been stopped. He still took them, didnt get ko'd and beat him in the 2nd. Something no one else can claim against Carwin. Id agree that he takes them badly (eg the spin across the octagon against cain and the way he collapsed to the ground v carwin) but he did take them. So to say that is a little harsh. Brock tko 2nd is my prediction.

Re: BROCK or JDS?
his reaction to getting hit was awful, but on the ground he defended himself well and most of those shots landed on his arm. Carwin didnt land anything big in that fight
I should clarify that it's not his chin that's awful, it's the way he reacts. He cant take a punch..without flailing around wildly and having a panic attack, then.

Re: BROCK or JDS?
Carwins punches weren't very pin point once the fight had gone to ground, he was just punching Lesnars arms and blew his arms out... Carwin gassed like a bitch in the second. In the Cain fight, Cain was never gassing against Lesnar and so got the job finished...
JDS should win this but not as convincingly as Cain.

Re: BROCK or JDS?
He's got chin for certain, its going to take something huge to make him lose consiousness, but he needs to start sparring alot and get hit in the gym.
Dont just have Paulson hold pads for him, and let him wrestle with Barry.
6 months in golden glory would do him wonders, he doesnt need to be k-1 level striker, his wrestling and ground game will always be his strenght. But he needs to be able to not panic when getting hit, and for the love of god he needs to learn to pull guard when he's dropped and not just turtle up.
That must have been so embarrasing for Paulson and Comprido (2 of best grapplers) to see their guy theyve been training not have a guard at all.

Re: BROCK or JDS?
Thats very true. The ability to take a punch and the ability to react to taking a punch are completely different things. But i dont think jds has carwins punch power or cains technical ability. But he has more technique than brock and could potentially cause him problems in this area. Brocks weight advantage and ability to sit on anyone will mean that anyone will have problems with the big man.
Just on a side note tho, i thought jds came across well on tuf opener. His english isnt as bad as i thought and what he said made sense. He was respectful and the fight was an easy 1 sided victory. However if that is jds' best man then i think brocks team could be the ultimate winners. (no pun intended)

I second that notion, the Armbar truely is split in this fight, I can't wait!

Re: BROCK or JDS?
It was split for Brock-Cain as well. Half the board knew what they were talking about. The other half believed the hype. Same thing happening here.
