Okami should get a shot because he deserves it. He's done more than the vast majority of Silva's challengers and to deny him a shot is just unfair. Plus he has the style to cause Anderson problems.

I don't care how unfriendly a fighters style is to the average fan, the deserving fighters should get their title shots. If Fitch doesn't get another shot at GSP, pending a victory over Penn, it's a crime. He should have got his rematch long ago.

i think Okami has a good style to caus Anderson problems actually.

Fitch got absolutely dominated by GSP, but if he beats BJ then he would have beaten Gono, Paulo Thiago, Pierce, Saunders, Alves, BJ. No one can deny him a title shot if that happens.

I wonder if GSP vacates his title after beating Shields, then who would Fitch against for the vacant title?

Perhaps Diego Sanchez if he beats Kampmann? As Fitch wont fight Kos, and Shields would have lost and they probably wont do Alves fight again so soon.

I want to see Okami get another win before getting a shot, yes i know he probably deserves it now, and has gotten screwed out of a title fight before. But the win over Nate was just so lacklusture, i would like to see Okami-Wandi or Okami-Palhares.

I'd have thought Omigawa ($8,000) and Yamamoto ($15,000) would have been on larger base salaries, I'd imagine they must have earned a fair bit more through other areas though.

wow thats crazy. Omigawa was on AT LEAST $35k just to fight in DREAM, plus FEG pay some fighters a base salary aswell.

GSP has said he will take up to nine months to acclimatise to the weight increase if he moves up.

That's plenty of time for Anderson to fight Okami.

The question is wether the Fertittas want to risk him losing, and thus lose the $$$uperfight. It's a very small risk. But a risk nontheless.

Suppose with the ever increasing lightweight division I saw it coming, although a bit harsh seeing how he was originally set to meet Sam Stout, and I fancied him in that fight.
