back at ya!
but i still think he should be put in both halls. That Berry fight was such a work! and his losses to Suzuki and Franklin.

Re: MMA Hall Of Shame
Ken will always be a HOFer.
During the whole of the 90s,he was one of the best MMA fighters in the world.
wins over Bas,Severn,Funaki,Smith,Kimo and draws with Gracie and Taktarov and going 25-5 during the 90s fighting that calibre of fighter in Japan and the US is what makes him a HOFer,not how he did against the fighters this decade.
The fight against Kimo in 04 should have been his last.
He was a pioneer of the sport and he along with Gracies were probably the first names that most MMA fans had heard of.
He help create Pancrase and only lost to two fighters in 20 odd fights, one being Funaki who again he beat also.
At the same time he was also dominant in the UFC only losing to Royce and Severn but he also drew with Royce(which he would of won if they had judges) and beat Severn.
Hell do you think Sugar Ray robinson is in the boxing hall of fame for what he did in the mid 50s to mid 60s or do you think it was because of the phenomanal 15 years before that?
How Kens career went this century though is more than deserving to go into the hall of shame also,I mean finishing your career on a ban for juicing,it shouldn't get more shamefull than that for a fighter.

Terrible example, sugar didn't throw fights, roid against someone who was eating KFC as part of his pre match warm up and just embarass himself on a tv show.
Im not saying Shamrock isn't a good fighter im saying he has fucked his legacy up because of the shit he pulls, one of the main things being is fighting long after his prime had passed. He should have retired after Tito dismantled him the first time, instead he made excuse after excuse and got destroyed twice more.
Bas,Severn,Funaki,Smith,Kimo and draws with Gracie and Taktarov
Bas-good win
Severn-Ok, not that great Severn is a very boring one dimensional fighter who doesn't have that many big names on his list either. Lost to all the better HWs (ie Rizzo, Barnett, Coleman) The Shamrock vs Severn fights were also some of the worst in MMA history.
Funaki-Good win
Smith- He had 3 fights up to that point and sucks anyway, more losses than wins.
Kimo-Your kidding? Beating Kimo doesn't put you in the HOF anywhere in anything otherwise Wes Simms would be in the HOF.
As for his draws- Gracie was like 40 pounds lighter than him and I don't know much about the last guy, his record doesn't look to impressive.
Compare Ken to Randy Couture, Ken was never able to handle the new MMA fighters. Randy is still going strong today, Randy is a proper HOF. Ken as Tito would say is of the old, always was of the old and always will be of the old.

Re: MMA Hall Of Shame
Away from the whole Shamrock debate for a second I thought of another fighter who should go in.
If you don't know who that is, its Sherman Pendergarst. 11-14 record with losses to Alexander, Abe Wagner (from TUF 10), Tim Hauge, Jon Murphy, Tony Sylvester, Marrero, Alexey Oleinik, Antoni Hardonk and Shane Carwin. Some good some bad opponents but has no good wins and well he is horrible.
Have a look
Leites should go in for the same reason Starnes went in, cowards way of fighting.

Re: MMA Hall Of Shame
Randys a Legand and we will never see another fighter like him, fighting at such an high level at an advanced age for so long.
All those fighters I listed were the top of the tree in MMA during the 90's and that includes Kimo.(not Smith)
Severn was 35-3-3 in the 90's,the man earned the right to be called the Beast,he only lost to Royce,Coleman and Shamrock.
Smith I'll give you,he was more of a big name than a great MMA fighter.
What Ken achieved in the first half of his career cements his place in any MMA HOF.

Re: MMA Hall Of Shame
Well it shows how young MMA is if someone like Kimo was a top of the tree fighter not too long ago.
Severn might have only lost 3 times in the 90s but those losses were just about the only tough fights he had. He drew with Horn who was a baby at the time, he drew with Militech who is a WW and drew with Kimo, who sucks.
Im not saying Shamrock isn't a good fighter im just saying the things he did screwed his legacy up. What else could he do to completely fuck his legacy?

Royce was roiding against the greatest MW of all time. Shamrock was roiding against Clifton
Plus Royce didn't pull half the shit Kenny boy did.
I will check this Oleg fellow out and his movies as well.

Re: MMA Hall Of Shame
i think winning a decision over a guy with no arms or legs is hall of shame worthy don't you? I would be ashamed to call myself a professional fighter after that.

I'm just guessing but I think it might be for the fact that he actually took on a guy with no arms or legs

It just occured to me that Kyle Maynard is the guy without arms and legs. Not sure how I missed that considering I checked him out on Wikipedia and you actually have a picture
I agree Baker should go in.

LOL yeah... Bear in mind Taz is like 5'6" and bright orange as well. Imagine Varelans getting chucked around and choked out by an oompa loompa and you start to get the picture.
