Anthony "Rumble" Johnson

Just wondering if there was any news on Rumble?

Not been seen since his 1 sided loss to Josh Koscheck at UFC106.

Before the fight he was on a run of 3 straight wins Vs Burns (headkick KO), and 2 1st round tko wins Vs Fioravanti and Yoshida...and was basically being talked up alot like Jonny Jones is at the moment.

Who would people like to see him fight next, and at what weight? He looks like a huge WW and probably has to cut a stack of weight pre-fight!!

And can the hype be re-found for him?

not sure he is lined up against but he is fighting november/december.

Also he is coming back at 185lbs. Maby not staying there but he has put on a lot of weight and wont be able to make 170lbs...



Due would make 205lbs comfortabally, I think he might be the only bigger Ww than Thiago Alves! Infact Id stick my neck on the line and say he is MMA's biggest weight cutter.... Id bet he is bigger than Rashad Evans.

Lets hope 185lbs is where he stays, his gas tank is shite at 170 but he has the skills to be a top figher he he had more energy about him.

Rumble is walking around at about 210. He's a big big man for a WW. Hope he stays at 185.

No way is Arlovski under 225, look at him vs Bigfoot they looked fairly similar size...

Forrest and Bones both come down from over 235lbs
Alves comes down from somewhere like 215lbs and id say Rumble does too...

What about Gleison Tibau??? Dude looks Near Alves size, Id honestly say he is up round 190 cuttign to 155, % wise he could be the biggest?



King could you make 205 yourself mate? I was suppose to make 155 to fight but Fuck that!! My wee bro used to cut shocking amounts of weight to box and weight cutting seems the most unplesant part of fighting!!

Arlovski is def 240 in the pic. He's a big guy, ripped with muscle.

Alves and Tibau cut exactly the same amount of weight. Tibau is just over a stone lighter than the pitbull when they're walking around.

not turning this into a me v arlovski debate although id love to for the money. lol just they dont look that big i was about 215 pro wrestling then i piled on the weight after i broke my arm. as soon as i got into mma i got down to about 112 just through wrestling but thats almost my limit to cut to i can make 225 min maybe 220 walk around 225-235 mate.

Id imagine Arlovski is like the Klitschkos he is probabally the type of figher who just gets skinnier off season and puts on weight during training camps.

Yeah Rumble is a monster, But his Cardio is shit he looked massive in the Yoshida fight, but he could bearly walk at the weigh in's. Clearly in the fight its a massive advantage kn took his head off in about 30seconds I think!

Also Tibau against Uno was another one I though was crazy to watch size wise. Ive seen Tibau gass heavy before in no time.

Fights would be better to watch if they were on a more level playingfield and fighters could cut so much, look at Evans cuts about 10lbs at most! Maby not the most excitign figher to watch but look at the T.Silva fight, he worked flat out for 15mins, no Kimbo vs Houston huffing and puffing!

Id like to see Massive weight cutting stopped to be honest It pisses me off when I see professional athletes tire after 5mins of fighting! Fuck me ive a gut and smoke spliffs and I used to do 3 hour training sessions back in the day!

i totally agree mate, guys who look ill what about mike swick he looks sick at his current weight and what about bisping cage rage heavyweight champ, won tuf at light heavy and now middleweight looks ill too. some guys like them look like they have aids.

He has something wrong with him. Bisping seems to be ok at 185, he hasnt gasses yet. He probabally doesnt look his healthiest but I dont think he is too big a 185er is he? I had no Idea he was Cage Rage Hw champ!!! Who the fuck did he beat? Id have loved to see him vs Neil Grove!

he ko'd that mark 'the beast' epstein to win the heavyweight belt then ko'd him again in the rematch then i think he left to go in tuf.

Bitchping was Cage Rage LHW champion. Not HW champion. He defended it once. He then won the mighty FX3 LHW title, never defended it. Then went off to TUF where he was initially to be a MW but moved to LHW because of injuries to others.

Rumble was supposed to Howard a few months ago, who really hate each other, and Rumble said something stupid like go pick cotton or something.


But Rumble pulled out with knee injury. I hope they make this fight happen. They say these 2 really despise each other. Which makes for great viewing

He's also been busy in court, just got done for domestic violence, picked up a years suspended sentence, a years anger management course and something ridiculous like 8 hr community service
