    Best song of 2011?

For me, there were two standout albums this year, Chevelle - Hats off to the parade.

    And..... Primus - Green Naugahyde

This, in addition to 'Fairytale of New York', is the ONLY worthwhile crimbo tune, IMO.

    LYNYRD SKYNYRD

Big into a lot of 70's rock at the Minute, Skynyrd and Thin Lizzy are two of my favorite bands, AC/DC and Johnny Cash are probabally the two other bands that are never off my playlists.

    ------------------------------

Pete you big into your Psychobilly and Rockabilly?

Dont know too many other people into that, you could count the people into Physchobilly on one hand in Belfast! Laughing One of them was my MMA coach, blasted a load of it in training (nice change from that dance shite they love in Muay Thai classes!)

I didnt like the too Metal sounding stuff, Hank III's bank Assjack for example. I love his country stuff but that sorta thrashy Psychobilly... maby Im just getting too old for such screamy music! Laughing

I really like the cheesier stuff, I like Horrur punk, Danzig Era misfits is as good as music gets so I started listening to stuff like the Gutter Demons and the Nekromantix... you recomend any similar stuff?
    -----------------------------

Anyone into their Reggage? I grew up with a load of Skinheads so listened to a load of Reggae and Ska back in the day

I quite listening to reggae and Ska actually. Especially if I'm enjoying some of the Nick Diaz plant Laughing

It's quite unusual for a metalhead but I actually quite like some hip-hop as well, mostly the older stuff though. This Irish-American hip-hop group is quite fun to listen to.

Other than I'm a big fan of Nas, Tupac, Biggie, Public enemy, Run DMC, Beastie boys, Cypress Hill ect.

Rakim and Eric B are probably the greatest Hip-duo of all time, just ahead of the Wu-tang clan. Quite a shame what hip hop has come to now a days though with the likes of Lil Wayne and Drake.

Split Enz weren't too bad but they spoiled anything good they did by being part of Crowded House. Smile

I love Supergroove too - they had some catchy tunes. Breaks Co-op are kiwis I think - I don't follow the NZ music scene too closely but you always hear some good NZ songs. I like The Black Seeds, who are another band with that laid back style as well as Little Bushman, who are maybe a little more psychedelic.
