Wasn't there a BAMMA event hosted by Christian O Connell on in September or something. It was meant to be followed up with another as part of a tournament but it got called off with financial issues.
Is this the same promotion?

Did anyone bother watching this? If so, was it any better than the last shows?

I did catch one fight last night, Gunner Nelson v Sam Elsdon. A complete mismatch, Nelson (a Gracie BJJ blackbelt who has trained with BJ Penn) took Elsdon down quickly and tapped him. Nelson looked like he might be a promising fighter, good to see it's just not British journeymen scrapping against each other.

Gunner is highly thought off by many in mma community. Alot of people seem to think he is the next big thing. im not quite convinced myself (yet).

Strangely enough, Red, Sherdog put him on their prospect list. Personally, I think it's always too early to be talking about prospects when they're choking out lower level journeymen and rookies left right and centre. Once he's beaten a vet or two, some one who has fought a number of fights against a selection of good fighters then, yes, I'll be excited about his future. I looked deeper into Nelson's record. He's 6-0-1. He's beaten 6 fighters who had at the time they fought Nelson a combined record of 6-6-2 as two of his opponents were making their debut. Yes, he trains with BJ Penn but Rolles Gracie trained with Renzo and Royler Gracie and fought out of Jackson's MMA but he was rubbish when I last saw him. Only time will tell for Nelson and I wish him luck!
