OK I drupped Edgar a few placed due to popular demand! (I dont want do drop him from the top 10 because he is 1st or 2nd in line for a shot at Penn) could have easily made Lw the top 20 but other weight arent as stacked so I did top 15 across all weight classes.

This is a complete 1st draft so please let me know what you think about numbers 11-15, numbers 1-10 are staying as is unless anyone thinks that the last fight night changed the rankings?

Dos Santos continues to be overlooked, he is way too low on the rankings. He has beat 4 top opponents in a row and FINISHED all of them. He should be higher than Mir who is cock, Lesner who has no skills and Fedor who is overated.

    Only Joking Laughing

But Aleks at 13? Really? Who has he beaten recently, actually since fighting Werdum about 4 years ago he hasn't fought anyone. Silva's level of competition has been higher than Aleks but still not great. Nelson hasn't beaten anyone either. If Overoid can get to 8th with having Buentello as his biggest win in 3 years then I think Struve who also beat Gormely can atleast get in the top 15.

LHW is about right, Janitor is a little high, I might put Coleman ahead of him because Bonnar is a bigger win than Pkrojak (or whoever he beat).

MW is right except for Lawler in the top 10.

WW is about right, id have a few changes here and there but I think Hornbuckle should be top 15 atleast with wins over Gono and Nick Thompson his record is pretty impressive.

Thompson should be top 15 at LW.

Good man, thanks for the suggestions Chelsea. Its hectic in work so Ill get them updated when I get home. I do tend to Overrate Aleks I suppose but he has been winning at least! Id say he is top 15 even if Ive ranked him too high...

Coleman above the Janitor works for me too, If Randy wins id be hesitant to move him up because he lost to Lesnar, Nog and IMO Vera back to back and hasnt dropped enough. If he looks good doing so I dont see why not though.... I didnt move Maynard up either because I havnt seen the fight yet but a SD over Diaz doesnt overly impress me.

Hornbuckle was probabally overlooked, Who out? Rumble or Gono?

I dont want to take Lawler out yet, weve had this discussion, I think we can wait untill Manhoef KO's him at least! Laughing

Perhaps add Yvel and Rizzo to just missed out at HW. And off course Cerrone should be in top 15 if Ben Henderson is 11, Varner should also be in just missed out.

Maybe Bisping should be higher, Wanderlei is tough too rank at MW at the moment but he would be much higher of course. Did we say Wandi-Bisping winner goes top 10?

I think it will take a few more updates to get the top 15 looking right, but i'm glad you have expanded the rankings bit more.

Don't know about having Hardy above Kos and Daley at WW. They've been finishing people recently and in impressive fashion, while Hardy has decision wins over people well outside top 10 (except Swick, but I think he's overrated) and has only managed to KO the mighty Rory Markham....

I don't buy this number 1 contender bollocks, and when GSP pounds his face into the mat I expect to see him ranked 8th or 9th at the very best.

Paolo I dont think Hardy diserves his high rank but the rules are if you beat someone highly ranked you get ranked over them. Hardy beat Davis to get into the top 10 and Beat Swick to be ranked over him. Maby we should have dropped Swick and Hardy both Further... but whats done is done.

If he looses to GSP he is going down a few places for sure because the fighters behind him are very close to him, there isnt much in it.

redmeanie good call on the WEC 155ers, Cerrone and Varner can go on the Just missed out list, one of them maby sneaks in at 15... like I say its a 1st draft and as usual I want to hear Chestys take on Waht Japanese fighters we have overlooked!! Very Happy

Wandy is just on the Just missed out list because he would have been top 15 at Lhw based on out old rankings so I just moved him to his current devision. The winner of Bisping vs Wanderlei is without a doubt top 15, maby close to 10... well have to see how they look.

Aye ill add Rizzo and Yvel just to make up the numbers! I cant really think of any other heavys to put in!

OK fair enough mate, I guess you're right, I just really hate all the hype Hardy gets whilst faithful long time performers like Okami were never given the same recognition.

Also want to say that I'm impressed with you keeping Machida at #1 even though I know you're a big Shogun fan and you had Shogun winning their fight easily. Hopefully you'll get your chance to put him to the top after the rematch!

Rumble, don't touch my boy Gono Laughing. Seriously though he beat Mach in impressive fashion and Rubmle is coming off a loss, yes against a top 5 WW but a loss is a loss. Mach is a bigger win than Yoshida.

" If he looses to GSP he is going down a few places for sure because the fighters behind him are very close to him, there isnt much in it."

I think you mean "When" Laughing

LW is really stacked, Sherk should drop out for now, put him back in if he defeats Guida. Either Thompson, Cerrone or even Joe Daddy could go in at 15 but probably one of the first two.

I'd say in the Heavies, its a crap shoot for positions after Carwin at 7th,I'd probably say Werdum was more deserving of the group for 8th place though. The top 7,I'd say were spot on.

Vladimir and Babalu seem a little highly placed for me as I think everyone on the just miised out list would beat these two.

The MW's look good(except for Lawler, but I know we've done with that discussion)

Guida, not on the just missed out list?

I don't agree with Hardy getting a title shot but Okami never deserved a title shot. He has lost to the better fighters on his record as shown with losses to Franklin, Sonnen and Shields. His biggest win is probably Mike Swick, a natural WW who Hardy defeated. Okami never deserved a title shot more than Hardy did.

Fair point on Diaz though, who's his biggest win at WW? Probably still top 10 but 4 is way too high for beating no one.

Cant believe i didnt notice Okami not on the list, he was 4 or 5th before the Sonnen loss, i would have him at 9 or 10 ranked. Sonnen isnt as bad as having a loss to him meaning you disappear of MMA map Laughing

Number 4 probably does flatter Diaz abit, he has gotten that high by relying on the top UFC around him beating each other, while he has been picking up wins against has beens and unranked fighters in Strikeforce (Frank+Smith).

OK at Heavyweight, Crocop in the top 15? Id say he is better than Nelson... What about Aleks and BigFoot swapping places? Although I think I think Aleks is better and is on a winning steak.

Coleman and Matyushenko to swap places... Babalu still top 15 then?

Were does Okami go in? Id say around 13, knocking Palhares off the list?

Rumble out for the WW rankings for Hornbuckle? Fair enouigh I suppose Gono and Nick Thompson are good wins...

The Lw rankings are recking my head!! Sherk out then? Who in Varner, Cerrone or Josh Thompson?

Cerrone gave Henderson a squeaky tight close fight, that many people though should have gone Cerrone's way. And you have Henderson at 11 so maybe Cerrone should be in top 15.

There isnt much in it really, Ive went for Josh Thomson at 15th... what you think him or Cerrone?

Ive changed the rankings by what people have said so far... apart from the Crocop added to top 15 insted of Nelson!!

What does everyone think so far?

I have no complaint by having Thompson in at 15, its hard to judge how good the WEC LW fighters are and then compare them to LW in other organisations.

I do think however Vera at no.15 and Okami at no.10. ???? Question

Okami in at 13, could move him over Akiyama at 12 but I think Sexyama will get the popular vote on here!! Plus he has only lost to a heavyweight a propper 265lbs heavyweight! You think 13 is too low for Okami? I think he is really overrated by a lot of websites. Khalidov would duff him I think.

Yeah Vera in makes sence IMO he beat Jardine and Randy. He has been unlucky with his decisions, Who out? Janitor or Babalu? We will see the popular opinion on it but Id like Vera in and would be happy to take the Janitor out for him I suppose.

Two of my favourite fighters Cerrone and Thompson but I have to go with Thompson at 15, he has beaten tougher opponents.

Vera should go in for the Janitor, Babalu is fine where he is. He was on a really good streak before facing Mousasi.

13 is fine for Okami, he is overated and boring.
