Choi is still really shit, he never was good in MMA. He beat a comedian and a former baseball player...wow. Sylvia is a joke nowadays but he isn't as bad a you are making him out to be, sure he is the easiest guy to make fun out of which I find funny but come one Choi is a joke. An oversized joke.

As for Overoid, OverROID would kill him but Overeem? I doubt he could beat Andy Wang.

ok when did overeem become overroid?

because if it was sometime in the last 10 years, overreem would still kick Wang's ass, Reem was a top 10 lhw for a long, long time.

Really? Because when he was Overeem he basically lost to most good fighters he fought. Those losses include Arona, Lil Nog (twice) , Shogun (twice) Lidell, Sergei and Werdum. He beat Belfort (twice) when he was in the worse shape of his career, an overated Igor and Sergei. Plus he just gave up against guys like Arona and Lil Nog, tapping from strikes by much smaller guys. and its ARONA! In fact in the last 3 years, only Buentello is a good win and he isn't a top fighter.

Ok he is better than Wang but so is Marcus Jones.

Overeem was never a top 10 LHW, HW yes but not LHW.

Its some Sherdog's fan opinion, not mine.

Where is Arona on that list for example. Horn? Janitor? Wandy shouldn't be first, not in 2003 anyway. This was also a time where the LHW division was incredibly weak.

    Overeem-Good but not great fighter.

its actually the official sherdog rankings from that month, they publish them every month on sherdog.com and have done it for about 10 years, not just "some fan".

arona probably isnt on it because he took 2 years off.
horn wasnt on it because his best wins were a 2-0 chuck liddell and gilbert yvel.

Janitor was fighting as a heavyweight.

Wand should have been a clear number 1, who else, Chuck was coming off a loss to Randy and/or Rampage depending on when this list was made, Randy was 1-0 at LHW.
Wand had won 12 in a row including Saku 3 times, Mezger, Tamura, Henderson, and possibly Rampage and Yoshida again depending on when the list was taken.(probably after the gp considering rampage is over chuck) this is a legit ranking, this was the first of many rankings that had overeem in the top 10.

I checked the record, ye Wandy was probably first although he beat Rampage towards the end of 2003.

Liddell and Yvel are better than any other fighters Overoid had back then. Two wins over cans and a loss over Liddell who Horn beat. Horn should be top 10.

Even if Overoid was, that was a long time ago in a then weak division. Has he been top 10 LHW ever again? Overoid in not that great, right now he is probably 10th in the HW rankings.

    1)Fedor
    2)Nog
    3)Lesner
    4)Mir
    5)Baroids
    6)Dos Santos
    7)Velasquez
    8)Carwin
    9)Werdum
    10)Overoid

Personally id have him 9 because Barnett doesn't deserve to be ranked.

I think you are being very genorous putting Overeem in at top 10 at HW, when was the last time he beat a top 10 competitor even at LHW?? many many years ago.

And here are the HW he has beaten.

    Buentello in 2007
    Lee tae-Hyun in 08
    Mark hunt in 08
    Gary goodridge in 08
And of course Tony sylvester and mighty James thompson last month...

Hes been inactive for too long and has not fought top opposition so not top 10 for me..And hes a cheat

    Round One:

Here we go, Sanchez runs out attacking Alves. He throws some wild shots but Alves is easily dodging those shots though. Sanchez is still going forward throwing more wild shots but he gets DROPPED by a right hook from Alves. Alves with some more follow up shots, punches and elbows, Sanchez is in trouble, he isn't covering up and Alves is connecting with huge elbows. Sanchez finally scrambles back to his feet but he is bloodied up. Sanchez switches to southpaw stance. Right hand from Alves drops Sanchez again and pounces on him and has his back. Alves pounding away but Sanchez surviving. Sanchez again back to his feet and moves back. Sanchez looks for a takedown but Alves stops him and has him in the clinch. Brutal knees to the body by Alves and Sanchez is down for a third time but he scrambles up quickly. He is clutching one of his ribs in pain. Leg kick by Alves to finish the round.

Alves walks back to his corner looking very good, hardly broke a sweat. Sanchez needs help back to his corner and its questionable wiether he can continue. His face is busted up and possibly has a brocken nose and rib. Alves 10-8 Sanchez, possibly 10-7.

Yamasaki talks to Sanchez and he can continue, Barely.

    Round 2:

Sanchez comes out southpaw but a lot more relaxed now. Alves leading with his right is looking for an opening. Big Leg kick by Alves. Nice combo by Alves followed by a big leg kick. Alves is gaining in confidence here and Sanchez is in trouble, with a slight limp. A kick from Alves is checked by Sanchez and Sanchez rocks with Alves with a right, Sanchez goes right after the takedown, he pushes Alves up to the cage. Got a single now, Alves trying to avoid the takedown but finally Sanchez gets him down. Sanchez in half gaurd and moves to side control easily. Alves scrambling but Sanchez has his back. Sanchez has the hooks in, this is bad for Alves. Alves stands up with Sanchez on his back. Alves manages to get Sanchez off but Sanchez with a big knee to Alves and follows up with some shots. Alves looks exhausted. Sanchez shoots and gets the takedown. Round ends.

Needless to say a much better performance by Sanchez this round, a lot more calm and collected. Alves might have gassed himself out trying to finish Sanchez in the first. A comfortable 10-9 for Sanchez.

Round 3: Sanchez is fired up now. Good right by Sanchez glances Alves. Alves blocks a head kick. Left hook stumbles Sanchez a bit. Right hand by Alves. Sanchez shoots as Alves comes in and has a single. Alves still on his feet but against the cage. Elbows to the side of the head by Alves. Sanchez still working for the single but Alves showing his great strength. Short punches by Alves. Brutal knees by Alves forces Sanchez to give up the single. Sanchez shoots for the takedown again but great sprawl by Alves and seperates. Big right by Alves stumbles Sanchez. Flying knee from Alves CONNECTS, Sanchez is down and Alves with huge follow up shots and Yamaski stops this. Sanchez is OUT! Alves is going crazy.

Official decision: Alves by TKO in 4:02 of round 3

The 12th fight of the Open weight tourtument is about to get underway as Vitor Belfort takes on Demain Maia!

Dan Mirgiliota is the ref for this one and he bring the fighters in to read the instructions. He pokes Maia in the eye but he seems ok. Both fighters show a lot of respect for each other and bow heads. We are just about ready to start.

Vitor Belfort (19- vs Demian Maia (11-1)

    Round 1:
The round starts and Belfort comes out quickly, Maia backs away but Belfort stalking him. Standing south paw stance, Maia gets a kick in. Maia shoots for a takedown but Belfort catches him with A HUGE UPPERCUT, Maia is down and Belfort pounces and hits him with another huge punch, two more shots and the reffere finally stops it, Maia took way too punishment there. After the fight, Wandy who was cornering Maia is visibly upset and confront Belfort. Randy Couture who was cornering Belfort breaks them up but Maia is still out, very late stoppage from Mirgilotta. Maia is stretchered out of the ring, that KO was brutal.

Belfort doesn't celebrate his win, he apologises to Maia for the extra punishment but says he was just doing his job.

Official decision, Belfort via fatality in 0:47 of round one

Belfort advances while Maia is out.

Next fight is Bonnar vs Hendo which il set up soon.

Sorry this is a little late guys but here we go, Strikeforce make there bow in the competition as Dan Henderson takes on Stephan Bonnar in a match scheduled for 5 rounds.

    Weight

    Bonnar: 235

    Hendo: 212

    Stephan Bonnar vs Dan Henderson

Both fighters look incredibly pumped, the touch gloves as Josh Rosenthel, you ref for the evening, reads out the instructions. We are momments away from the start.

    Round One

Both come out tenetivally, looking to pick there spots. Right hook missed by Bonnar and Hendo shoots in and pushes Bonnar against the cage. Some good dirty boxing by Hendo. Takedown from the clinch but Bonnar scrambles back to his feet. Good knee to the midsection by Bonnar. They sepearte and Bonnar with a left jab. Nice combo by Bonnar on the feet. Hendo pushes Bonnar back against the cage and looking for the takedown. Bonnar defending and gets some good hammer shots in but Hendo with the takedown. Bonnar tries to get up but good control by Henderson. Some GnP from Hendo in Bonnar's full gaurd. Bonnar flips out and gets the fight back up. Nice wheel kick by Bonnar to the midsection of Hendo. Left jab from Bonnar but a good counter right hook from Hendo cuts Bonnar. The round ends.

Good first round by both fighters but Hendo might just edge it based on the control on the ground. 10-9 Hendo for me.

    Round Two

They touch gloves to start and here we go. Bonnar with a leg kick to start. Body kick by Bonnar and a good jab as well. Bonnar goes for another leg kick but Hendo telegraphs and DROPS Bonnar. Hendo pounces on him and starts hitting him with huge shots on the ground but Bonnar goes for a double leg. Hendo easily defends and hits some hammerfists. They stand back up. Hendo looking for that big shot but gets careless and hits a big left from Bonnar. Hendo is now bleeding from the nose and Bonnar begining to unload. They trade and both fighters land. Hendo gets Bonnar in the clinch but Bonnar with some nice dirty boxing. Takedown by Henderson. He looks to pass but Bonnar uses his long legs to keep Hendo in gaurd. Bonnar looks for a kimura but the round ends before he can finish.

Another close round, hard to score. That takedown right at the end might have edged it for Hendo but it could easily go to Bonnar. 10-9 Hendo.

    Round 3

They touch gloves and we are underway again. Bonnar with a body shot to start followed by a left hook that stuns Hendo. Nice combo by Bonnar. Leg kick now by Bonnar. Sloppy combo from Bonnar connects and he looks fired up for this now! Henderson with a left jab but excellent right counter by Bonnar on the button. Big body shot followed by a knee. He pushes Hendo to the cage. Good shots by Hendo but a huge knee to the body by Bonnar followed by a big right hand. Uppercut connects from Bonnar, Hendo needs to work. Backfist from Bonnar and some more knees. Henderson backs off now. Bonnar is using his reach to keep Hendo at a distance well here. Another right by Bonnar. Both men starting to breath heavily. Another right by Bonnar finishes the round.

Horrible round from Hendo there, he didn't try and shoot once. His corner are furious but very good round by Bonnar. One has to wonder if that round took all he had . Henderson is still in this fight because of his chin, most other fighters would have been finished by now. 10-9 possibly 10-8 round for Bonnar. Can he follow up?

    Round 4

Into the championship rounds now, they touch gloves to start. Bonnar connects with a left but Hendo grabs a single. Bonnar tries to defend but gets pushed up against the fence. HUGE SLAM by Henderson and Bonnar is hurt! Big shots from Hendo, good GnP displayed Bonnar looking for an armbar but Hendo avoids it and connects with a big right hand. Some more big shots but Bonnar rolls out and gets back to his feet. He has a mouse over his right eye now. Nice one-two by Bonnar tough and a BIG BODY kick drops Hendo! Bonnar gets his back and looks for a RnC. He tries to get the hooks in but Henderson defends well. Bonnar with some shots now to the side of the head. Less than a minute left in the round. Bonnar with some big shots. Hendo gets to his knees with Bonnar still on his back. Hendo slips Bonnar off who looks for a triangle but Hendo escapes and ends the round on top.

Closest round so far, both fighters were in serious trouble during the fight. Have no idea im going for a 10-10 round. This final round could decide the winner.

    Fifth and FINAL round

High five to start. Bonnar who's eye is busted up attacks Hendo from the start with a nice combo. Hendo replies with a big left that rocks Bonnar. Takedown by Hendo. Bonnar keeps him in gaurd and looks for a kimura again but Hendo passes to side control. Good hammer fists but Bonnar escapes and gets back to his feet. Wheel kick from Bonnar and SUPERMAN PUNCH!. Amazingly Hendo is still standing, Bonnar got all of his might behind that. Nice uppercut by Hendo and again Bonner is rocked. Hendo with some follow up shots but this time Bonnar gets the takedown. Hendo easily gets back up though. They trade and both guys with some huge shots, MASSIVE exchange. Both guys throw everything they have left. WOW these guys aren't holding anything back. One last exchange and thats the the fight.

Outstanding fight and again a very close round to finish. Nothing between them on the feet but Hendo might have edged it on the ground. Damage is equal, Bonnar has a huge shiner and Hendo possibly has a brocken nose from early as round 2. Excellent performance from these two fighters

We now got to the judges scorecards.

Judge Anfield scores the fight 49-47...

Here we go lads, Frank Trigg gives it another go against the UFC LHW champion Lyoto Machida.

Open Weight fight Frank Trigg vs Lyoto Machida

    Round 1

The refferee for this one is Steve Mazaghatii. They come out no touch. Kick to the body by Machida. Frank Trigg rushes forward throwing a right followed by a left but he walks into a jab and Trigg is rocked! Big Uppercut from Machida and Trigg goes down. He grabs on to Machida's leg looking for a single but Machida pushes him off with ease. Knee to the body by Machida, Trigg leans over to grab his stomach and BAM! HOLY SHIT Machida kicks his head off with a devestating Head kick. Machida just walks away as Trigg is seriously hurt. The doctors are in the ring now and Trigg is not moving.

Official decision: Machida by rapeage in 2:03 of round 1

Back in the ocatagon and Trigg is barley showing signs of life. He is breathing now, which is a good thing. He finally sits up and Machida walks over to check on him. They hug it out.

Machida tells Rogan that he will fight anyone in the next round.

Trigg says it was an early stoppage.

I do have to take issue with the idea that Rich Franklin could drop BJ Penn! Not in his wildest dreams!

    Machida does the expected.
