Hazelett has a decent chin and is great at BJJ. If he gets the fight to the ground then Daley will be tapping.

Hazelett has those crazy subs like the one he did on Burkman. He will watch the Kampmann fight and know not to stand, if he gets Daley down its a mismatch.

Paul Daley updated his blog...
"I think Condit is a PUSSY. I had inside info that he was going to pull out. As far as a replacement, I am a REAL fighter willing to fight anyone in the top tier with a winning record"

Re: Curse of 108 strikes again...
Daley is a wrecking machine, just about the best standup at Ww (maby next to Alves) Id love to see him against Rumble. Hazelett is a tough opponent though and a totally different fighter to prepare for at the last minute. I feel bad for guys who have their opponent changed with a few days to go. Hope Daley wins he is a very exciting guy to watch.

Re: Curse of 108 strikes again...
Got to agree with you there Ben. It must be a nightmare to do a training camp for 6/8 weeks with a stratergy in place for a certain fighter and then it all gets changed at the last minute. Having said that, we all know that semtex is more than capable of putting anyone to sleep in the w/w division and I still see him getting the win via ko 1st round.

Re: Curse of 108 strikes again...
I don't believe Condit chickened out. I think he was injured and tried to work through the injury but couldn't. Can't see why Condit would be afraid of Daley, sure Daley is great on his feet. As Ben said, second best striking in the WW division after Alves(that's a fight that i would love to see and I know that a certain short-armed Brazilian would like it to) but Daley sucks on the ground. If Condit got him to the floor it would be fight over.
Oh, and I am the law, you really should have a picture of Chuck Norris as your avator.

Re: Curse of 108 strikes again...
Alves is the best striker in the WW division for sure but second could be Zamousirskas. Looking at his last few fights and he really has looked like mini-Cro Cop. Daley generally has more names on his KO list but Zamourisaks did KO Mach.

Never seen so many different spelling of Zaromskiomskizamskis in my life!
Definately got the potential to beat Alves, I rate him as the number 2 welterweight in the world. Haven't seen many full fights of his, hows his ground game?

Gonna be exciting when Mr. Z starts fighting for strikeforce. I've heard that Noons and him could be the fight on the horizon.

Re: Curse of 108 strikes again...
That would be a great fight except is Noons big enough to fight at WW? Should be an excellent stand-up war.
Alves is better than Zaromiskis right now and well Alves is younger as well and more well rounded. Id say Zaromiskis is 5th or 6th in the world right now. Third best WW outside the UFC after Shields and Diaz.

Noons used to cut a good bit of weight to fight at 160. i'd say he could fight at 170. And Mr Z is not a big WW so he wouldn't be over-whelmed.

Ye that sounds fair enough. I like Noons, he has some attitude problems but he is a very exciting fighter with good standup. Surely though its him vs Diaz rematch first, thats the fight everyone wants to see. As long as Diaz gets off the bong.

I think Diaz's next fight will be for the WW title. I think he's moved past Noons and made himself a far bigger name. Noons will have to earn that fight.

Re: Curse of 108 strikes again...
This card is cursed!!!!!
-------------------------------------------
Sean Sherk will replace an injured Tyson Griffin in a lightweight bout against Jim Miller at UFC 108 on Jan. 2 in Las Vegas, Sherdog.com has confirmed with sources close to the matchup.
MMAWeekly.com was the first to report of Sherk's move from a UFC 108 undercard bout against Rafaello Oliveira to the main-card bout against Miller. Oliveira is expected to receive a new opponent in his undercard slot.
Griffin’s manager, Tom Call, said the 25-year-old Californian injured himself in training Thursday and following a visit to the doctor, decided to pull out of the bout. Call would not specify the type of injury that the Xtreme Couture fighter sustained.
“He sustained an injury that wasn’t too serious, but it will prevent him from training against the caliber of opponent that Jim Miller is,” Call told Sherdog.com.
Call said the decision was difficult for Griffin, who’s never withdrawn from a bout before. Call added that Griffin would return to training in mid to late January.
The 36-year-old Sherk, who spent a few months sidelined with a shoulder injury this summer, will look to right the ship after dropping two of his last three bouts. The Minnesota wrestler lost a unanimous decision to upstart Frankie Edgar at UFC 98 last May and was unsuccessful in his bid to win back the lightweight title from B.J. Penn at UFC 84 in May 2008. Sherk earned a unanimous decision over Tyson Griffin at UFC 90 in October 2008.
N.J. native Miller, who’s won four of his five UFC appearances, earned a second-round technical knockout against Steve Lopez at UFC 103 last September in Dallas.

Shit, I was really looking forward to that fight. What the hell is going on? I can't help but think Raffelo Oliviera is relived, now the Roid Shark moves up.

Rumour has it that American Top Team light heavyweight and the man set to co-main event UFC 108 alongside Rashad Evans on January 2nd has suffered an ankle injury during training.
The news comes via Figure Four Weekly who also reveal the UFC are making it worth the Brazilian’s time to remain a part of the already massively injury hit card. It must be noted that this is an unconfirmed report.
This comes hot on the heels of today’s news that former PRIDE star, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 109 fight with Brandon Vera, putting even further pressure on the promotions roster.
