Thought it would be a good idea to make a thread similar to the footballing one but about games as there seems to be a lot of gamers on this forum


To kick off the thread, i'd like to ask how many of you will be getting L.A Noire when it comes out on the 20th? Looks amazing






The graphics are sublime






And if Rockstar's recent history (GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption) means anything, this game is gonna be huge!

Thoughts?

It does look good, I didn't really do much with GTA VI, only did about 10 missions and got bored of it, so not sure if i'd buy it because i'd probably get bored of it and just end up on FIFA or COD like usual, nothing will ever beat San Andreas, best game ever made.

Yeah Axe - I've pre-ordered LA Noire. While I don't seem to have time to play much these days, I always keep an eye out for Rockstars latest release - the GTA series was awesome and Rockstar seem to deliver what I like in games!!!

I used to be a big arcade gamer way back in the day - I am talking Defender, Pac Man and that sort of crap. Wasted half my youth pouring coins into shitty games that have nothing on todays technology. Beating 10th Dan in Karate Champ is still one of my biggest achievements.....

Sheldan, I'm with you on GTA San Andreas - my favourite game of all time. I got checked into hospital with a punctured lung not long after getting it so spent about 12 hours a day for 2 weeks off my face on morphine, finishing the game off. Good times!! I had to do it again once I got out because I couldn't remember any of it after I got out of hospital.

While I love video games, I just don't have the time these days to play them as much as I would like. I can't seem to get my Xbox online either which means I miss out on a whole new world of gaming.....

Online poker is my video game of the moment!!

I'm old school sega megadrive, master system, snes and nintendo man... Was always a beat um up fan street fighter and mortal kombat. Got um all on the I phone now ha ha sold my Xbox 360 cause never played it ha ha!

L.A Noire looks very promising It it half as good as of RDR or GTA IV then i'll be happy I still play GTA IV (Mainly TBOGT) great game(s).

Anyone here a fan of Portal? I just finished the second one. The moist satisfying game ever!

I'm an Xbox'er, not a heavy gamer but live id is sirsquatalot69 if anybody fancies a game of Martal Kombat!

Think i'll be getting LA Noir not that i'll have much time to play it (having a wife) but played through a fair chunch of Red Dead Redemption which was amazing so if it's a patch on that then it'll be impressive.

LA noir looks great and so does a game called brink.

I hear the questioning and puzzles are shite in LA Noir though im a big fan of GTA and the gameplay looks similar, this and red dead are good but I cant wait till the next GTA, that and fight night are the only series of games I religiously buy.

Brink is the next game im getting, It was either that or Rage... anyone played Brink yet?

yeah rage looks brillient so does another game called i am alive.

I can't believe no one has mention possibly the biggest game coming out this year is out next month Supremacy MMA that game looks ace !.

It seems the next GTA game is penned for early next year i read can't wait I'm really interested to know where the game will be set

id love a GTA game set in japan or hong kong.

In the Tokyo or Hong Kong would be great I'm sure I heard Rockstar will be returning GTA to San Andreas but I might be wrong or wishful thinking.

glad i didnt rush out and get brink this morning its meant to be average at best.

Another GTA in San Andreas would be amazing but thhey couldn't possibly top the layout to the original game. With the massive mountain on one island, the slums on another and the casinos and mansions on the last one! Brilliant!


Yea, i've heard Brink is to be average too. Anyone played LA Noire yet?


Also any Fallout fans on here? New DLC was out today.

I'd love to se Rockstar do GTA in Vice City again. Would look gorgeous with next gen graphics. Plus this is a new trilogy...so they may follow the LC---VC---SA path.

Think one of the producers also raised the possibility of a European setting. GTA London would be fantastic

Nah in all seriousness the most likely one they'll do next is Vice City, like Hendo said they'll do it in linear fashion, i hope they base the city on somewhere like a 70's Liverpool or something

Any Call of Duty fans on here? A few teaser trailers have been released for Modern Warfare 3, no gameplay shown but just a few sneak peaks at where some of the campaign will take place.

call of duty is good but is anyone sick of the amount they release its a new game every 6 months.

Surely it's a good thing they release more often than other titles, as long as there's variety (and with COD there is!)


I'd love it if Fallout did that, instead us fans had to wait almost a decade between Fallout 2 and 3!!

yeah but the difference with fallout and cod is fallout single player lasts over 4 hrs while cod dont.

Anybody got L.A Noire then? I might get it next week if people think it lives up to the hype.

I have started playing it. At the moment, it plays more like an interactive story rather than a game. I am enjoying it though. It looks as though it is absolutely massive. There are 3 discs (Xbox) and the character list is huge.

If you were expecting a 1940s GTA then you would probably be disappointed. It feels like a GTA game at times though. Game play seems pretty linear at the moment but it is very early in the game for me.

Difficult game to recommend because it is very different and probably not for everyone.
