As for the antics thing, can you explain how someone's antics affects how successful their year's been in terms of fighting? The reason why Diaz wasn't given fighter of the year is because their is people deserve it more than him, not because of his antics.

Just leave it mate, you know you're fighting a losing battle when the people you're debating with constantly refer to him as Bitchping.

Okay, here goes again, WTF has Bisping achieved?

The only 'names' that he has fought are - Matt Hamill (was I suppose a name at the time) won a controversial decision, Lost to Rashad, got KTFO by Hendo, lost to Wandy, beat Akiyama (no great achievement there), and then beat a very lacklustre Miller. His record is littered with no name, never has been fighters. I really think that this has been done to death, but hey ho.

With regards to conduct, of course (IMO) this has relevance in picking a fighter of the year. This is a judgement call, and therefore we all make our choices, based on our own criteria. Therefore, I wouldn't dream of criticising anyone on their choices.......I suppose that there's nowt wrong with a healthy debate though.

We may not like the guy but credit where credit is due...

Not really mate. Wallhead has really come on this year. Wins against Trigg and Villasenor, surely compare well against Bitchping beating a can in Rivera and a very subdued Miller?

Granted Wallhead has come on this year (even though he did lose), however I can't see how it can be argued that a split decision win over a 40 year old Frank Trigg and an average win over an average opponent in Villasenor can be called more successful that what Bisping has achieved.

Yes I agree Rivera and Miller aren't particularly amazing wins, but theyre far better fighters than Trigg and Villasenor. The way I look at it is, if your looking at Bispings year versus Wallhead's year in terms of success then Bisping is no doubt the winner, considering he has left himself as a top contender in the UFC.

Yes, Miller and Rivera are better fighters, and Bitchping is a better fighter than Wallhead, but IMO, Wallhead had a better 2011. Beating Trigg at MW, and then KO'ing Villasenor (who hadn't been KOd since the Ninja Rua fight in 2007) were better achievements in the grand scheme of things. Bitchpings antics after beating Rivera left a sour taste as well.

His antics after the Rivera fight have no bearing on the success of his year?

    Look at it this way:

In 2011, Bisping went 2-0 (2 kos) - He's left himself as a top contender in the UFC.

In 2011, Jim Wallhead went 2-1 (1ko, 1 split decision) - He's had a decent year, but let's be realistic, he's fighting in Bamma....

The likes of Che Mills and some of them boys fighting at UFC 138 have has a more successful year than Wallhead. Whether you like him or not, Bisping is BY FAR the most successful british fighter.

Now don't get me wrong Bisping has had a good year but lets be brutally honest he was expected to beat Rivera and Mayhem as for Wallhead after a spirited display against Hawn not many were expecting him to beat Trigg and Villasenor he really had an impressive end of year display.
