Except that it's really 2 points for the result and 1 point for the method and round.
I don't know why everyones' totals are multiplied by 5. But the fact that it bothers me probaby reflects badly on me not the game.

Like the 10 point must system. Really the round winner gets 1 to 3 points, or neither fighter gets a point if its a draw. The decision isn't 30-27, it's 3-0. Why present it in such an arbitrarily weird manner?

It's like if in football, every goal scored 5 points, and you got 9 league points for a win and 3 for a draw.

That makes sense, because in the olden days they used clock faces to keep score. I can accept that.

Two UFC newcomers called Jeff Houghland and Donny Walker have been added to UFC 132, not sure whether you want to add it to the predictor or not?

Yeah I'll add that fight to UFC 132,it'll keep the number of fights predicted right,since we have lost the Brenneman - Grant fight.

Yeah I know it's a bit weird but I had intended to review the scoring system and add weightings like I mentioned before - I thought it would give me room to scale scores up or down. For example, almost half of all fights end in decision. To reflect this I was going to reduce the score for picking a decision as it is the easy option with basically a 50-50 chance to perhaps 3 points, with UD another 3 points but an SD worth maybe 7 points as they are more difficult to predict. But that scoring review has never eventuated......


For those guys who have played from the start, I am now running an all-time table. This incorporates all predictions since the beginning of last year (I lost the first league data). A prize will be given out every so often once we reach milestone numbers. We have predicted 611 fights since then and if anyone is interested in very broad statistics around this data, let me know.

I'l text him but he's at Glastonbury so probably saving phone battery. I'm gonna be predicting my outcomes tonight before I board the plane in the early hours. Viva Mexico here I come. Fingers crossed my hotel lives up to the billing and does have wireless so I can make my predictions for next week.

I go to Ibiza on Sunday, i'm caught up in two minds whether to take the laptop as if they have WiFi i'll be able to watch the UFC on Sunday and then next Saturday, although if I lose it then i'm fucked. Don't think there has ever been as bad a week as missing two UFC events AND David Haye VS Wladimir Klitschko in the space of a 7 day holiday .. Why couldn't it have been Next Sunday I go so that I miss nothing!
