There it is guys - the final table for 2009.
Congratulations to payneNglory1 who can say with pride he was the first ever Armbar MMA Predictions League champion, smashing his competition by over 100 points.
He correctly picked 96 winners out of 152 fights, which is pretty good considering the unpredictability of MMA.
I have to decided to end the league now for a couple of reasons. One is a refinement to how I record and collate the results that would be best implemented starting afresh. Another reason is to get some feedback from you guys to see if you want any improvements, changes to scoring, anything else you want added etc etc...
Now for the winners of the prizes offered for the highest combined round 5 and 6 scores and there really shouldn't be any surprise when I say congratulations again to payneNglory1, who headed off Moose by a paltry 15 points, overcoming a 35 point deficit from Round 5.
Moose and payne, could you please PM me your addresses so I can get your prizes out to you. As payne topped the league, I will throw in another small prize on top of the Shogun UFC104 walkout long sleeve top. If the Shogun shirt was my size, you wouldn't be getting it!!! Moose wins the Fabricio Werdum ADCC 2009 walkout t-shirt, which is also pretty cool. A special mention also to Raiden, who finished 3rd in the prize rounds and 2nd overall in the league.
Thanks for your support guys - it has been an educational experience running this thing and I hope you enjoyed playing the game, even though payneNglory1 won everything!!
I expect to get the 2010 Predictions League up soon and will send out a recruitment notice when it is about to start.
Any questions

pipped to 2nd on the last round 3rd isnt bad, i am not dissapointed with that, although i failed to win any prizes.
congrats to everyone who won something, and thanks very much ging for making a superb league, really added alot of fun to the forum.
the only suggestion i can think of is to possibly reduce some of the sizes of the rounds. i.e. make a judgement on what fights should and shouldnt be predicted on, for example
16. Danny Castillo v Shane Roller
17. Will Kerr v Kamal Shalorus
18. LC Davis v Diego Nunes
19. Cub Swanson v John Franchi
20. Antonio Banuelos v Kenji Osawa
21. Ricardo Lamas v James Krause
22. Frank Gomez v Seth Dikun
13. Shigeki Osawa vs Ronnie Ushiwaka
20. Bull vs Tomoaki Ueyama
21. Yuichiro Yajima vs Ryota
8. Jeff Curran vs Dustin Neace
9. Mark Miller vs Deray Davis
10. Christian Uflacker vs Jonatas Novaes
those are some of the fights we predicted on, i have heard of 6 or 7 of those guys, and would probably be able to pick 4 out of a lineup, and i am sure its even less for some members.
You have to go by sherdog fightfinder for your predictions and its basically a lottery predicting on the unknown guys.
just a suggestion, and including those kind of fights gives an advantage to those real mma encyclopedias which i suppose is a good thing.

I think we should predict only main card fights. It takes too long to properly predict a card like the Dynamite New Years card for example.
Great league though. Well done to Payne for winning and Ginginho for running it.

I think Raiden should get a prize or at least some sort of honorary title.
Perhaps Raiden 4th Earl of Armbar?

Last.
Shit, cannot believe that I picked so bad, although I did miss a couple of events. Still, shocking. Hope to perform a bit better next time. Unless there was relegation?

well done
great league-well done ginginho
got me more interested in other organisations (something which i wanted to do anyway but this league gave me a boost in the right direction)
I liked it the way it was but I tend to agree with Anfield on only having maincard
i'd be happy with it either wat to be honest
congrats on the league payne
