MMA Predictions League - Round 2

Does anyone else really want Mayhem Miller to beat Shields?? I think Shields will get the win but i'd love to see Mayhem get the W.

Yep, I love Mayhem.

He has exactly the attitude I want to see in a fighter. Loves to entertain, fights hard, never backs down, and is the only man in memory to remain smiling through 15mins of punishment from GSP.

Sheilds seems a really decent guy but I'd like to see Mayhem wearing some leather.

I missed the last round is it ok if I come in now.

Just want to clarify the rules, Youy only get points for picking the right round and method of win if you call the right guy to win. Jim York KO round 1 over Pee Wee I wouldnt get points for picking the KO and round 1?.... I hope not!!

Yep you score on method and round even if you don't get the winner correct.

After the table for round 2 is posted I will ask for feedback and see if there is any call for rule changes, additions, etc.

One thing I am thinking of doing is adding a bonus 5-10 points for getting a fight result exactly right....

really? so if rogers KOs fedor in round 1 i still get points even though i predicted fedor sub in 1?

my suggestion is 10 points for winner + 5 for method + 5 for round.
0 if you pick the wrong fighter because youve got the most important part wrong.

That's fair enough and if everyone agrees it will happen.

The way it is set up now was to score on 3 separate levels, picking the winner, picking how the fight ends and picking when the fight will end. I personally like scoring points even though you don't pick the winner, but I don't think the points are weighted properly towards picking the winner at the moment.

Maybe doubling the amount of points for choosing the winner??

I would go with if you don't get the fighter right then you get zero score for that prediction.

Using last nights Del Rosario fight.

I guessed Del Rosario 1st round stoppage.
Actual result was Del Rosario 1st round sub.

10pts for correct winner
5pts for correct round
opts for correct method

Using the York/Herman fight.

I guessed York 2nd rd stoppage.
Actual result Herman 1st rd stoppage

Because I got the fighter wrong that should be zero pts.

Using the Rockhold/Taylor fight.

I guessed Rockhold 1st round sub.
Actual result was Rockhold 1st rd sub.

10pts correct fighter
5pts correct round
5pts correct Method

and a bonus 5,8,or 10 pts (whatever you choose)for a perfect guess.

For consistensy sake, keep the same scoring system as round 1, if you decide to change then rd 1 results should be altered accordingly.
