Anfield the 1st video I put on was the Hoost video of Course! Its on the previous page. I said Hoosts HL's are my most viewed video clip! Outstanding, Beautiful Muay thai, He could strike you with all 4 limbs in a split second it seemed... his Combos were perfection. Ive said a few times Hoost is my most missed retired fighter. There hasnt been a fighter to match him since in K-1... Maby Badr Hari will become one of the greats.

Hoost was just a genius. He threw strikes that didn't seem possible. His balance was insane! I remember hearing CroCop say that had Hoost been born 10 years later he could have made the transition to MMA because he was so intelligent and such a natural athlete that he would have picked up takedown defense and counter-grappling really quickly.

Yeah Crocop is right id say, If Hoost had of developed a half decent round game or Sprawl he would have dominated MMA in any era, I think Cecil Peoples should watch those Hoost HL's to see what a Leg kick can do! Hoosts was like a baseball bat!

at 2.11 in the hoost video is it Igor Vovchanchyn?

anyway people always say Hoost's kickboxing style was wrong for MMA, too many long combos apparently, and they say crocop's style was perfect for MMA.

edit: according to Hoosts wikipedia, he beat Igor in k1 in 1999.

and according to Igor's wikipedia, he was 61-2 in kickboxing!!!
some indication as to how Fedor would do in K1 perhaps, Igor always said Fedor copied his striking style, but i think Fedor is a more inteligent striker, and less powerful.

I think you're getting carried away, Shogun's leg kicks aren't on the same level as Brandon Vera's. Never mind Ernesto Hoost! Hoost kicked so hard the he could destroy a kickbag with one kick!

The Round 2 draw is now finalised. 3 more fights added to the Strikeforce part of the card. Missing quite a few entries so get them in soon. If you are new to the Armbar, feel free to join in. You will obviously be one round down but it is all in good fun.

Ben, I will only add high profile boxing matches like this one, which I thought might hold some interest amongst the British and Irish members. I will also be putting down the Pacquiao - Cotto fight for the next round. K-1 will also be added when the bigger events happen as well as other significant evetns like perhaps the ADCC grappling tournament.

Paolo_73 has a pair of BJ Penn shorts up for grabs for the winner of this round. A really cool thing to do bro!!

Any problems or suggestions, please let me know. Round 3 will be out in a couple of days as Zuffa tend tend to finalise their cards a lot earlier than their competitors.

The Haye vs Vlauev had me changing my mind every second. Valuev was pure and utter shite against Holyfiled (Who Haye should be considerabally better than at this stage of their careers) its 50/50 wether Valuev even won against Holyfield! All Logic says Haye should take this...

But Hayes Cardio is poor and his Chin isnt great, Apparently he has been dropped in sparrin leading up to the fight. He probabally wont KO Valuev, But he could take a UD if it wasnt for his stamina. I think he will burn himself out looking good in the early rounds going all out for the KO... then once he Tires Valuev will paw him in the face a few times and put him down.

If it goes to the judges I dont think the German will be Bios as people say, After all Haye vs The Klitschkos would be a much more interesting fight than Valuve vs the Klitschkos (Who are based out of Germany) So I think Haye is going to Tire and become easier to hit than normal! If you look when he throws his hands drop to his sides! Im really looking forward to this and Sexton vs Rogan then the Strikeforce event sunday! as well as Sengoku! Great weekend of fights! (Rogan to KO Sexton propperly this time as well by the way!)
