UFC will 'probably' start doing 5 round non title main events

Personally I think this is a great idea. Rampage-Machida definitely needed a couple of extra rounds.

The best idea would be for the UFC to create 'official' rankings for it's fighters, then you could have something like...

Title fight or Main event, = 5 rounds
Top 10 vs top 10 or co main = 4 rounds
Rest = 3 rounds

Some matches definitely would benefit the fans if they were five rounds and machida rampage is a good example. Make it happen Dana!!!

On the other hand imagine if cro cop v Mir hadn't have ended late in the third and having to go through two more rounds of that.

i think after 3 rnds if the judges score a draw then a 4th or 5th would be needed.

Risky there could be some shockers although some fights we have cried out for the fight to continue, recently I would of liked to see rampage machida and Forrest Franklin continue, not cos there where great fights but because the fight didn't feel over

I would much prefer them sorting the archaic scoring system, and keep the 5 round fights as title fights.

Makes no odds whether you have three or five round fights, as long as the 10 pt must score system is in effect.

yeah couldnt agree more mate i think they lack decent judges on ufc events i mean cecil peoples come on.

he should make every Fitch fight a 5 rounder for the lulz
