I don't think the UFC would be a wise move for Santiago,I believe he would get lost in the UFC's MW division and go nowhere,I don't think he would ever get close to a title shot in the UFC.
I can't see him having much of a chance against any of the UFC MW's from Palhares up,to be honest, infact I'd bet Leban and belcher would beat him again.
So I think he would be better off in Strikeforce's,they need more fighters in their MW division, since it's pretty weak at the moment.
He would go straight in as one of the top fighters in the division, and Strikeforce could instantly sell the fight for a challenge to Jacare's belt(a champ v champ fight)so it gives Jacare another challenger, plus there are some reasonable names that he would match up well against, and ones that he should have the beating of,like your Scott Smiths,Lindlands and Benji Radichs, aswell as being a good challenge for some of Strikeforce's new stars that are moving up from the challengers series, like Rockhold and Medeiros.
Kennedy and mayhem would be good fights for him aswell, though I personally wouldn't back him to beat either.
I think he would be a great signing for a Bellator Tourney.
