its the most mainstream forum, so you're always going to get that sort of crowd really.

being the biggest mma forum has its advantages and disadvantages.
I remember there used to be quite a few fighters posting there, sometimes that forum was fun but they ban people for the smallest things it's stupid.

i remember Phil Baroni posted a long winded reply to a fan, and then someone quoted it and said "did you run out of gas typing that?"

    BAN!

also Bisping and Cyrille Diabate had a "flame war" on the forum, its full of retards but there is an occasional gem:

Chesty did you ever tell us why you were banned from Sherdog? Laughing

he was #3 before the Werdum fight.

i was banned from Sherdog because someone posted in the grappling forum a thread called something like "what is wrestling?" and it had a poem that was a bit like this:

    "wrestling is hard work,
    wrestling is skipping meals...

(went on like that for about a dozen lines)

    ...wrestling is awesome!!

    post yours!"

    and i posted:

    "wrestling is faggot porn."

    and got the ban-hammer!

3 and a bit years, 3999 (exactly) posts down the drain lol!

    lol!

Always leave them laughing as the old saying goes...

Diabate would give Bisping such a beating. His last fight impressed me so much. Cane is a tough dude.

    MMabay new ranking out now.

1: Brock Lesnar: The more things change, the more they stay the same. After year of injuries, illnesses and fight shuffling, we get the heavyweight title match we were originally promised after UFC 100; Brock Lesnar will defend his title against Shane Carwin in just a few days time. The big question on everyone’s minds will be whether or not the champs extended break will have an adverse effect on his performance – we don’t have long to wait for an answer.

2: Shane ‘The Engineer’ Carwin: People have always been wary of ranking Shane Carwin too highly, and with good reason; up until UFC 111 one thing was missing from his ledger; a top 10 scalp. His dominating performance against Frank Mir was the final piece of the puzzle; Carwin is legit, and has half of the UFC’s heavyweight title to prove it.

3: Cain Velasquez: The speculation is over folks; Cain Velasquez is the real deal. While Nogueira is clearly slowing down, nobody, not even Fedor, treated him the way Velasquez did at UFC 110. He may be behind Shane Carwin in the pecking order, but it certainly would not be beyond the realms of possibility to see Velasquez with a UFC title belt strapped around his waist by the end of 2010.

4: Junior ‘Cigano’ Dos Santos: There’s no stopping the JDS freight train. While he hasn’t faced a top 10 fighter since coming out of nowhere to ice Fabricio Werdum, Dos Santos has been nothing short of a TKO machine in the UFC. The glut of top contenders may mean that he’s still a couple of fights away from a title shot; but 2010 could be a breakout year for ‘Cigano’. Next on the hit-list is Ultimate Fighter Roy Nelson, an opponent that will tell us if ‘Cigano’s grappling is as sharp as his striking.

5: Fabricio ‘Vai Cavalo’ Werdum. Lets not go crazy and proclaim Werdum the best heavyweight in the world (or even outside the UFC) just yet; but at the same time, lets recognise that he’s done what over 30 men couldn’t and defeated one of the greatest fighters who ever lived. An immediate rematch with Fedor seems likely, and it’s a big risk; a loss could once again stall the talented grappler’s career, although a win would cement him as one of the division’s best, no doubt setting him up on a collision course with the UFC’s best and brightest.

6: Fedor ‘The Last Emperor’ Emelianenko: It was always going to happen at some point, but few expected Fedor’s first real loss to come at the hands (and legs) of Fabricio Werdum. While a single loss in 10 years is hardly a harbinger of the end of the greatest career in heavyweight MMA, ‘The Last Emperor’ will need to win big in the not too distant future if he is to return to the top of the heavyweight heap.

7: Alistair ‘The Demolition Man’ Overeem: It was a case of ‘put up or shut up’ when ‘The Demolition Man’ stepped in against legit top-10 contender Brett Rogers in May. Not only did Overeem prove his doubters wrong by pounding out a completely one-sided victory over the Minnesotan, he also passed the post fight urinalysis. There are still more questions than an episode of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ surrounding ‘The Reem’, but with the Dutchman lobbying hard for a rematch with Fabricio Werdum before the year is out, 2010 might just be the year we get some answers.

8: Frank Mir: Never has a top-shelf fighter been more ‘hot and cold’ than Frank Mir – he’s traded wins for losses in his last four outings and has done little to suggest that he could last against a Cain Velasquez or Junior Dos Santos. If Mir can fight around his weaknesses (his inability to take big shots or control big wrestlers) then he could still be a force in the division – his next fight will be a telling one.

9: Antonio Rodrigo ‘Minotauro’ Nogueira: While we’re not writing the legendary Nogueira off just yet, the facts are plain for all to see. He’s fought two young guns in his past three bouts and both have left him staring at the lights. Minotauro undoubtedly still has a couple of fights left in him, but his days as a title challenger may be over.

10: Antonio ‘Big Foot’ Silva: Proof if it were needed that size does indeed matter, ‘Big Foot’ makes his first appearance in the MMABay top ten rankings. Some might say that technique will always win out at the end of the day; clearly these people have never had to contend with Silva, a man with boulders for hands and feet like rowing boat oars. You know what they say about a man with big feet right? If they’re a 265lb cage fighter, they’ll kick your face right off…

This is really quite a spectacle, all the rankings have put Brock on top even before 116 fight. i tod you guys that with the loss to Werdum, all the rankings are going to drop Fedor for the UFC guys.

And all those rankings are done by UFC-biased websites who aren't worth considering.
