Erick Silva VS Jon Fitch at UFC 153. That card is getting epic.

Yeah 153 is looking very good also Diego Brandao will fight Joey Gambino (that bloke with the awful cage design tattoo on his body). I think It's a big risk putting Silva in with Fitch I have this feeling Fitch could snuggle him to death for 15 minutes.

Alvarez is fighting Pitbull (Patricky) of his final Bellator fight Oct 12th, Massive fight for a launching pad to become a UFC fighter.

Id expect he would get the lombard treatment and be given a title shot if he won a warmup fight... as long as he didnt pull a Lombard as it will be forever known.

    Anyone backing Pitbull to win?

I think Pitbull has a chance If he beats Alvarez I wouldn't be surprised at all. As good as Eddie is he tends to get involved in brawls when he doesn't need too and If he does this with Pitbull and gets hurt I would bank on him finishing Eddie as he is a natural finisher.

It's a great fight and It's a low risk fight for Bellator to make as Patricky is coming off a devastating loss so If he loses It's not the end of the World for them but If he wins I think Eddie's bargaining tools and possible move to Zuffa will be heavily tainted.

Know what you mean mate, I dont think ive seen an Alvarez fight where he doesnt get hurt!!

If he looses I dont think they Strikeforce would turn their nose up at him. Im not sure if SF want to bring over decent fighter to keep them going untill thir contract expires and they finally close but I could see them bringing him to SF if he looses because a fight with Thompson or the likes could make him a credible fight for Gil.

Heres hoping he doesnt go there, As sad as it is to watch Gil and Co sit on the sidelines Id rather they didnt start trying to build SF as an organisation by moving UFC calibre fighters there

Im still itching to see him vs Edgar even after Bendo whoops him again, Or Pettis vs Alvarez would be a dream fight.

Cool Hamill is coming back, maby he feels as the only guy to "beat " Jones he can get a rematch with a few wins! Laughing

UFC 153 looking like a fun card! Gabriel Gonzaga vs Geronimo dos Santos should be fun, I wonder if Gabe after not having been active will withstand Geronimo's old school Sapp style 1 round bullrushing attack, only time Gonzaga is going to feel undersized but Im backing on him to get the Sub in the 2nd.

Aleks E. is returning on setp 30th, no opponent named yet. There really isnt much about but Id love to see him against another K-1 guy after the Graham fight, JLB would be cool but there probabally isnt a long list of fighters queing to get Hep C.

Jorge Santiago has signed on again with Strikeforce and will move to WW and fight Quinn Mulhern.

I don't like the idea of this Jorge is a good size MW and has a dicky chin this has disaster written all over It IMO.

Chael Sonnen to 205 and faces Forest Griffin in the NYE event, then he wants Jon Jones

Chael Sonnen wrote:I could go up to 205 and I could take Jon Jones' belt the same as I could take his candy on Halloween – a little punk kid, I'd snatch it away all I want. But there's something to be said in sportsmanship for earning your shot. And on the 29th of December, I'm going to go through Forrest to do it."

Sonnen has been having jabs at Jones on UFC Tonight and on Twitter, wouldn't shock me to see him talk his way into a title shot after beating Griffin.

    and possibly Pettis vs Cerrone.

Which would make this the best 4 fight card in UFC history IMO.

Although they might hold Pettis-Cerrone until UFC 155 which would make that card great.

Those are great fights, Sonnen is going to Hammer Forrest into the floor and retire him in a rematch im sure of it.

Shogun vs Gus is a great fight, we really will see if Gus is the next big thing and if Shogun really is still top level. Ive a feeling we will see an upset. Gus only has looked bad being outgrappled and thats something I dont think Shogun will do. I think Gus will UD him, after surviving a tough 1st round (then Shogun gasses I say)

Ive a terrible feeling were going to see BJ get wrestlefucked for 15mins... or at least 14mins after he gasses. BJ really needs to get back into shape, fighting Fat just isnt an option in this day and age.

Diaz is going to beat Bendo up and down the cage I reckon he will take a pretty convincing UD. Ben's hands arent great for the level of fighter he is and Nate now has filled out a bit I dont see him getting outwrestled... I think we will see a similar fight to the Cerrone one.

    Aoki's opponent announced

    http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Arnaud-Lepont-23443

Hmm never heard of the guy and seeing as he looks a sub specialist I think this is an easy fight for Aoki who isnt getting subbed by anyone outside ADCC top level guys...

I like seeing Aoki vs KO artists because he has shite standup and there is always that risk. The figth I most enjoyed of his was seeing him get sparked in that mixed rules match... in the MMA round after a round of stalling!

I know these are slim picking for Lw opponents but id have liked to see him take a catchweight fight and maby find a decent opponent. Would even have liked to see a Crusher rematch at 155.

Hearing that Wanderlei's next fight is either against Cote or Shields in China...

Sh1t I havnt seen much of Wand's defensive grappling these days, he survived with Arona on the ground back in the day who is about Shields level so he migth be able to land the KO. Id be interested to see Wand fighting a top 10 guy in the devision who doesnt have a hope of KO'ing him. Great way to another big fight, I hope he can get a hold of Bisping again down the line.

Cote would be a war, I love the Idea of that fight in a way it would be really fan friendly only thing is Cote cant be hurt by mortal men... Wand I cant say the same for. I reckon Wand would edge him standing but there is the worry only 1 man is likely to KO the other.

Who would you lads rather see him fight?

Agreed. Sonnen will destroy Forrest in my opinion. The only problem here really is Forrest's size, but I still think Sonnen will flatten him.

Gus is actually the favourite over Shogun, so it wouldn't really be an upset mate. I personally can't see Shogun winning at all. Too slow and too old for Gus in my opinion.

As for BJ, I agree, MacDonald will probably UD him. However, MacDonald pulling out can work out a good thing for BJ. If he spends from now til fight night getting himself in shape again and working hard, I think BJ can cause an upset.

I'd like to see Wandi vs Shields. Although im a big fan of ths skrap pack, Shields is beginning to annoy me. I would take pleasure in seeing Wandi knock him out, and given Shields average stand up, it's a decent possibilty. Although, odds are Shields would probably hump him to another boring UD.

I would rather them have Carwin-Nelson take place on a different card other than the TUF Finale (as that fight doesn't need 5 rounds because it's not going that long), and have Cerrone-Pettis headline it, so we can see 5 rounds.

That's a great shout! Pettis-Cerrone, IMO, is the most exciting fight that's been confirmed for the rest of this year.
