Actually Struve tapping to strikes is a distinct possibilty. Lavar's punches are designed to smash you numerous times everywhere while your cornered. I dont know how Beltran and Barry kept taking that punishment they werent going to get knocked out but yet kept standing there...

I think Lavar is quite overrated, like Barry and Beltran are tough guys, but they are the very bottom of the HW division. Now, if he beats Struve convingly then I will admit I was wrong, but I dont see it happening.

Do I bottle it and put the £45 free bet on Struve to submit Johnson so that I'm covered? As lets be honest, this fight is either finishing a Struve submission or a Johnson KO.
What did you end up doing mate? I personally think it'll be Struve by submission, but known us it'll end in Struve via knockout
When you sign up you get a free bet matched up to £50 so I put £45 on Lavar to win by KO at 11/10 so now I'm debating whether to use my free bet on Struve to win by sub at 6/4 which would leave me £20 up. But knowing my luck Struve would win by decision or something.

JDS to win by KO - 4/11
Struve by submission - 6/4
Barboza to win on points 2/1
Velasquez to win on points 4/1
50/1 accumulator!
Take this and add Brandao via submission...makes it 194/1 accumlator.Surely worth a pound

Re: UFC 146,The Heavyweights
p4pnumber_1 you really think Peewee is over rated mate? I dont see many picking him over Nelson for a guy with only 2 real career losses. Kicks will be the difference here. Nelson wont check them and will get chopped down I think. Think ill be the one to go for the underdog here and back Peewee to UD him in a striking lesson.
SRD is an underdog too in the bookies? Strange that. Its a pickem fight like you say though but I fancy Del Rosario to win because his grappling is that bit better.
Struve isnt a big enough favorite in the bookies I reckon. I know his chin isnt granite but he is learning how to use his size and fight Schilt style. I think his Sub skills vs Lavars non exist defence means anything other than a win for Struve will really supprise me.

Does Dos Santos spar with his wife or is he too scared of her??
I think Big Foot will beat Cain and Hardy will lose and be cut then end up fighting for UCMMA.

Indeed I do mate do you not? To be fair I've always said he was overrated even before he joined the UFC, then when he did join and when he fought Einemo, he looked absolutely awful! His striking is incredibly sloppy! Then to be fair he looked slightly better against Struve...but he still got knocked out! Then last night just solidfies my point

Your a dick!
But your right
I just didnt rate Nelson but he finished Struve and others with that same shot. Id say Herman overrated for sure now. Good call.
Also was id have Nelson as underrated for me. Ive said for years his fight with Monson pretty much sums him up but he has got better for sure.

When you're decorated in your opponents blood like that, you've handed out a beating.

Performance from Cain was terrifying, thought he was going to kill him.
JDS Mir actually did quite well in the first round and then JDS found his groove and schooled him.

Mir did well in the first round in the sense that he survived , but Junior still dominated from start to finish. Frank barely made one offensive move the entire time.

Once Mir missed that first takedown, he just seemed to lose interest and by the end of the first round looked like he knew what was coming.
I think the cut in the Cain fight really spoiled it - Bigfoot was too blinded by the blood to put up anything and I think the beating was a little more one-sided than it should have been.

Re: UFC 146,The Heavyweights
What's everyone's thoughts of the rematch between JDS and Cain.
I'd like to see JDS fight someone else, not that many fighters spring to mind before rematching Cain. I don't know what would happen to Cains career if he was to fight and get ko'd by JDS again. He did look dangerous on Saturday tho, his cardio is incredible. Whoever advised big foot to throw leg kicks at Cain needs to be shot.
JDS and Cain do appear to be a class above the rest of the UFC HW division. Would like to see a rematch after 1 more fight for both of them as I'm not certain Cain was 100% in the 1st fight. However I do feel JDS would still have won as I think he's a nightmare match for Cain

Thats exactly what will happen. This notion that Cain had an off night or that he was just clipped is bollocks in my opinion. JDS is too good at boxing for Cain in my opinion, and I dont think Cain can take him down. JDS wins this fight 9 times out of 10.

Just read Cain will be out with a broken hand for at least 6 months, looks like we'll have to wait for the rematch.

Bigfoot has broken the hand of his last 3 opponents, i wouldnt book him anymore against top guys or young prospects needing to fight to get better.

Re: UFC 146,The Heavyweights
Well isn't Overeem back for the New Year card? Cain wouldnt be ready for then, so that could be a possibilty?
If not then I've no idea. No one is really deserving of a shot, though having said that, Mir wasnt really deserving. The only person that's semi close for me is Werdum, but it doesnt really make sense as JDS has already flattened him. Though Im sure the UFC hype machine will be able to exploit that to the max, and create a grudge match between the two of them!
