    Chael Sonnen Empty Chael Sonnen

I know a lot of guys don't like him, but I actually think his comments and wind ups are pretty funny.

Here's an interview with him after UFC 109.

"I'm not one of these guys going out shouting YES all the time" Hahaha

This week he talked the talk, and backed it up impressively by walking the walk.

He was impressive. Fair is fair. His performance showed that he back up what he says. However, despite getting dominated for 13 minutes, Nate came closest to ending the fight and a BJJer with a better bottom game would have beaten Sonnen. Look how easy Maia took him out.

I was very impressed, controlled Nate for 15 mintutes and stopped him from getting anything from the fight. Did what he had to do, and did it well.

Didn't control him for 15 minutes to be fair. Nate nearly choked him out at the start and the end of the fight. 13 minutes! haha!

hate to say i told you so.

he was a HUGE underdog and literally decimated Marquadt who had to resort to dirty tactics to try and win. he still failed.

trying to win by a cut stoppage is a dirty tactic in my eyes.

Not sure about the 'dirty tactics' claim. I would like to know what Elbows are used for, if not to cause greater damage to an opponent?

With regards to Sonnen. I wouldn't say I was a fan, but, he completely dominated Marquardt, and Okami before him. I also think that a lot of his comments are purely to get under an opponents skin, one of the better ones I've heard from him (with regards to fighting off his back), 'There's no way that I'm going to lie down and let some other dude lie between my legs' or words to that effect.

Anyone think that he has any chance against Silva/Belfort?

I think Anderson move too well for him to take him down so easily, but he might have a chance against Vitor who tends to plant his feet more.

I would probably agree there Anfield. Although I would have thought that Vitors hand speed may give him the edge against Chael. That said, I didn't think that Chael would cope with either Marquardt or Okami.
