Rampage goes on Rampage, wants out of the UFC

If you thought the saga of Quinton Jackson had ended with last week's Twitter barrage, think again.

The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion took to the popular social media tool Friday night and unleashed more newsworthy thoughts including how the UFC took away his love of fighting and that he wants the organization to release him.

It started Friday afternoon with Jackson answering fans and throwing this gem out there:

Jackson then retweeted a fan that speculated that losing appeal means that he is being cheated out of money. Later, he would be a bit more straightforward in asking for his release.

Pretty mad stuff from Quinton, and bold claims that the UFC are ripping him off the way that PRIDE did. Where do you think he'll end up? And what fights is he referring to?

He's right that the top fighters in MMA are underpaid when compared to boxers but he won't make any more money elsewhere.

It's odd though, Dana was interviewed by Ariel Helwani after this and he said that both himself and Lorenzo had spoken to Rampage before the tweets and he wasn't sure what they were about. He said he spoke to Rampage for an hour and a half so I'm guessing it wasn't all cheery pleasantries and chit chat.

If UFC release him I want to see him fight Fedor.

Now that I would like to see.

I'm sick of Quinton complaining. I can't remember the last time he impressed me in a fight. He's boring and has had too many sub par performances. He's finished. Wouldn't bother me in the slightest if he got released.

Took the words out of my mouth. The only reason I want to see him fight Fedor is so that he can get his ass kicked. He is the last person who should be complaining about money.

Hope they make him vs Shogun although Hendo really wants Rampage.

Either does me. Both would slap him silly.

Not intrested in seeing him fight either, possibly Shogun just so he can get an easy win, refocus and I can enjoy watching Rampage get his ass kicked.

Rampage doesn't deserve a fight against either, especially Hendo. I realize Hendo wants to avenge his loss but he should be looking at Jones right now.

Dana should just release him now.
