Cain or JDS ??

I really have no idea who's gonna win this, im a really big fan of both and will be delighted for the winner of this huge fight. And be the face for the new Fox fans being introduced to sport.


But i hear you guys have some thoughts about this fight??

I'm backing Cain,I think it's going to come down to Cains wrestling that's going to make the difference.

Can't wait for it to happen though,really like and rate both fighters and IMO this truly is the best two HW fighters in the world squaring off.

You've got to love the UFC,when these kind of fights can be made without having to go through a ton of red tape and bullshit first.

Cain for me, but I've been singing his praises for some time now, cannot really desert him. Not massively confident though TBH, primarily because I don't know how the lay-off will have effected him, and JDS was the one guy I thought could give him some serious problems, and that was when Cain was fully fit. Really looking forward to it though.

Cain wins this with cardio, wrestling and mixing up his striking. JDS is a really good fighter and obviously has a chance, but Cain is better for me.

Both guys are very durable aswell, i dont care what people say about Kongo fight, Cain has a good chin and will be difficult to stop. JDS we have seen to take some punches and has never been rocked by them.

Neither guy is really into submissions, but JDS guard maybe prove to be important in the fight.


Of all the big fights coming up this year, i think is by far the closest to predict.

JDS KO, I think the top 3 Hw's are absolutly neck and neck, Rungrust is going to be a factor for Cain. He is from a great camp too, AKA against Blackhouse makes this fight even more epic but I think Junior being more active will make him sharper, Cain shoots into an uppercut I think.

Then again no good big wrestlers in blackhouse and Cain sparring with the likes of Cormier could mean he just dumps Junior on his back at will and beats him silly!

Ive a feeling this will be a better fight to watch than Lesnar vs Overeem.

imo jds has a chance in rd1 catching him cold but i seriously doubt it for me i think he will stay unbeaten for a long long time,

JDS to overwhelm Cain standing and stuff his takedowns. KO round 3. Ofc I'm not ruling Velasquez out, these two are the best of the best HW for me but I've seen a champion in JDS ever since the Werdum fight.

Cain for me. By stoppage late in the third, or early fourth.

Ben - hard to say, more quality in this i think, the other has a stampeding mountain v a giant steroid muncher, that will be real damn good. Brock is either all forward or spiraling backwards into his patented 'curled up ball' position. Damn fun to watch!

5 and 5, woah it really is a split opinion. I chose JDS simply based on Cain's layoff.

Another factor was somebody posted a list of Cain's opponents the other day, think it was Ben, and the list wasn't great at all! Although I suppose you can only beat what's in front of you. At the end of the day he's champ for a reason.

Arggghhh it's too close to call! I know for a fact my opinion on who wins will change at least 10 times between now and fight night.

I have to go for Cain, TKO due to GnP in the 3rd or 4th. Only caveat for me is how the lay-off will affect him, but hopefully the answer is it wont, for the good of the fight.

JDS is awesome and it could go either way, but i think Cain is better.

I think Cain wins this in very convincing fashion I see JDS just wilting from the pace & pressure of Cain, Sure JDS has a punchers chance but that is it IMO I think Cain overwhelms him and stops him the 2nd.

Cain whenever, however he wants it. Ring rust is the only factor and only hope I'm giving JDS. when JDS loses I'l be rooting for Brock to beat Reem (not in predictions tho) so we can have JDS V Reem.

Superman, I agree. JDS v Reem would be a great stand up war.

In terms of the main thread I reckon the lay off might well affect Cain and possibly tip JDS as the favourite and ultimately the winner. JDS TKO 3rd.

That's actually a really good point. What's JDS's cardio going to be like? His last two fights have been against two guys who between them don't have enough of a gastank for a 3 round fight. The only other person he's been out of the first round with is CroCop who's a slow methodical fighter and was easily matching JDS in that fight.

JDS has never faced anyone that pushes a pace like Cain, or that has anything close to the cardio of Cain. Or indeed that can wrestle anywhere near Cain's level.
