Just a thought in regards of recent armbar attacks

Thank god for admin stepping in and hopefully these recent attacks will be the last. However if they are not then why not just all the users who post regularly on here join mmaplayground.

It works exactly the same as armbar in relation to posts and topics and what not.

All 'fight camps' are invite only and the commissioner can send invites out and bar people by the click of a button.

The biggest and by far best bit of the site is that all the events are already on there and all you need to do is select your winner, method and round. It is far easier than what we do on here plus nobody has to arrange a thing.

As well as earn points for correct predictions you also earn virtual dollars and you can bet these against each other or against the house odds. This opens up another league purely based on money earned.

Each season is roughly 10 events long then it starts over

Each fight camp has 4 separate competitions running at the same time;
1) primary predictions - all UFC events including fight night and on versus
2) primary wagers -all money won on above predictions
3) secondary predictions - strikeforce, dream, bellator etc (all non ZUFFA, well up until recently)
4) secondary wagers - all money won on above predictions

This is just a suggestion I am more than happy with the way this is run on here but I don't do any of the work. There's a good few of us on here who use to or still have mmaplayground accounts (me, 2brutal, Mryzyz, think p4p and sheldon too) and I'm sure they'd say the same about it. If you've not seen it then it's worth a look

Dude no offence but this was put here in place of 606 a while back now, most people on here post elsewhere too. The spammers are taken care of quick enough and this site has built up a good field of posters now... You putting this up is just as bad as the spammers asking people to post elsewhere and leave this site?

I agree with pinsman, there's about 10-15 of us regulars on here who have been here from its inception. It's developed a sort of family feel to it and we're all friends to an extent. This is the only site i post on simply because of the relationships between the posters and also their maturity (which as we witnessed last night is sadly lacking on other forums)

Also you keep mentioning your sites automatic predictions league and IMO that's a bit disrespectful to Ginginho who puts a massive amount of effort and money into this forum.

I don't get drawn in to any of the gay bashing or spamming when it rarely appears on here anyway. It just wouldn't happen on mmaplayground and even tho I'm grateful and appreciative of all the incredibly hard work gone into those who post the armbar cup rounds and what not it's caveman like in comparison to having it already set up and ready to use like mmaplayground does.

I'm not trying to defect anyone to join it's just that the site offers everything that this one does but so much more in terms of predictions and what not.

No offence is meant in this topic and it's great work by Ging and those who've taken it on now.

You guys still post on MMA Playground? Fair play I thought everyone was off that now, I prefer The Armbar, like Axe said, more of a family feel to it, easier interface, etc. I understand you're just throwing it out their as an option but yesterday was a rare occurance, if we get another admin sorted then that won't be happening again. I know you didn't mean any disrespect to Ging in regards to the predictor, but yeah like Axe said, Ging puts a lot of time, money and effort into it. I understand where you're coming from but I just think the majority of people on here, myself included, are just happy with things on here.

So, IF we did all move there, would we have our own forum as part of a bigger forum or would we be in Gen Pop. In the words of an old school teacher telling my mam why I was being suspended, "David does not mix well with new people".

Its not my site either, I stopped predicting on there cos I enjoyed the vibe on here. All I know is that playground is private and the family feel would cross over if posters joined the same fight camp cos it's pretty much identical to this site.

NO DISRESPECT MEANT TO GING. TOP FELLA FOR DOING WHAT HE'S BEEN DOING FOR HOWEVER LONG.

This would ease the burden on him massively but as I said to begin with, I'm happy on here as I mostly stick to reading posts rather than creating them and I'l continue to post predictions on here. It's my most looked at web site daily so I'm more than happy to remain. It was only a solution to a problem.

That been said and this weekend being the exception i much prefer the armbar for debates only mryzyz post on mmaplayground and mainly too himself ha,l

It is good for doing predictions, it has a lot of odds and and info on fighters, good for people who do not know all the local circuit guys and international new comers etc

Although the work ging does is amazing

Sheldan or anfield should be added to the admin team they post most days,

Although I think a few of us could get barred if we try tell anfield Edgar is a deserving champion or jones is the man or gsp is exciting

Just reading what went on, I think some folk are thinking of extreme measures to combat it.
A simple one would be just add two more mods. What do you think?

As for skipping to another site where someone has to invite you then can delete you with the touch of a button..... A) why would we want to join another site when we have one here?
B) we are like a wee family on here, we've mostly come from 606 where it's heavily regulated and quite frankly wank (which IMHO the other site sounds the same but I'm no expert)
C) although I'm not on this as much as I should (something I will rectify) I LOVE YOU ALL..... But not Anf, he's a knobber!!!!! Only kidding mate

Haha!!! IF we did move there then whoever wanted to be the commisioner would create a fight camp (Armbar no doubt) and send invites out to those who wanted in. Those who are within the camp are the only ones who can access it or see it. There is a general pop page where news is released and it's updated as regular as mmaweekly or mmatorch etc. Anyone can comment on this but no one would be able to see 'our interface' as it would be private.
