    Evening guys,

After watching the Aleks Emelenmko video, I was wondering who all the other top free agents in MMA were just now?

What would be the best card anyone could come up with?

Here's a few off the top of my head...

    Alex Emelennko
    Gerald Harris
    Keith Jardine
    Ken Shamrock
    Nick Osipczak
    Paul Buentello
    Paulo Filho
    Pedro Rizzo
    Riccardo Arona
    Ricco Rodriguez
    Tim Sylvia

    Good post.

    James Irvin
    Ben Saunders
    Karo Parysian
    Robert Drysdale
    Xande Riberio
    Ryan Jimmo
Thales Leities (not sure if he's still signed to MFC)
Miskai (Is he still signed with Sengoku anyone?)
    Glover Texiera

That's on the top of my head aside from the one's you mentioned.

If were counting Shammy as a "Good" free agent ill go for this guy...

    Free Agents 40427

Monson is still a free agent too as far as I know cause the SF deal hasnt been anounced. He has a deal on paper I think but is waiting to see if UFC are interested...

Id add Hellboy to the list as well hes a ranked free agent. I think UFC are going to have a monopoly on Lighter weights soon seeing as SF doesnt have lighter devisions. He would be good to get into the mix at 145 in UFC. It would make for some great scraps.

There was an advert in my local paper for MMA classes, didnt pay that much attention because the details did seem odd, the teacher (think he was called Dave Dillon) was listed as having 7 black belts and teaching Vale Dudo (dont know if that was a miss-print) anywsay it was saying that Dan Severn will be attending in February for a Q&A session, I will try and find the details.

On free agents, is Che Mills signed with anyone yet? Thought he was unlucky not to get through the TUF trials and he has two wins over Zaromkis

No Idea about mills, but that Dan Seven QnA session should be good craic!

Jay Hieron is another free agent, he got released from SF. I think of that list Cote and Leites might have contracts... Cote has a fight at the start of next year but done know if its a one off for the organisation.

Although he isnt a great fighter any more Ninja Rua is another good free agent. I wouldnt mind seeing SF use him. Ninja Rua vs Scott Smith would be a war, Id love to see that. Or a rematch with Benji Radach?

Ninja vs Mayhem would be a fun fight. And a rematch with Lawlor maybe too.

Aye, he's meant to be taking up boxing. No fights have been arranged yet though.

I e-mailed to see if Dan Severn is in fact in the UK early next year, I received the below reply

    Hi Lee,
Thank you for contacting us. We are attempting to work out something for the 1st part of the year, but nothing is confirmed. If you happen to know of anyone interested in bringing Mr. Severn in for an MMA Seminar, we could work on a few things.

    Thanks,
    Mark Pennington
