Another great relief is the LACK of flash KO's. If you just stand and bang on the UFC games within a minute or so someones gonna get KO'd out of nowhere. On this game though they are much rarer and that means you can stand and trade for the full fight

The_Axe_Emperor wrote:Yep, that's whats great about it. The lack of any real effective stamina system in the UFC game was very annoying as you could just constantly and continuously throw high kick after high kick and not get tired. In this game though you really have think before you do anything.
Example, the Cung Le fight i just mentioned, i had him hurt a few times in the first round and he had me similarly in trouble, but because there was the risk of exhausted yourself with flurries we both just stayed back and continued to pick each other apart.
best fight iv had i was getting pummelled and just surviving rnds 1 and 2, in rnd 3 the other guy gassed and i finished him was funny hearing his excuses.

Re: EA sports MMA
yeah when you get a flash KO its extra sweet!!!
i played it with my brother, verbal agreement to stand, and got him with KO that made him look like John Matua.
muhahaha

We need to get an Armbar Grand Prix going. If Ginginho can get his X-Box online we should have eight contenders.

Nah I'm in Chesty's corner too
Brilliant game, I tend to lose two online fights for every one I win, but it is so much better than the UFC 2009 I had.
I've not figured out how to regain stamina when I've been floored though-is there a technique to it?

Re: EA sports MMA
Just did Tyron Woodley (me) vs Lyman Good and got schooled on the feet for two rounds, whilst constantly getting my takedown attempts stuffed. Then in the third he went for a high kick, i swayed out they way, went for the takedown and got him instantly into side control. Stepped over into mount, postured up and within a few seconds he was lying unconscious.
One of the most satisfying games i've ever played!

gut is like "leg health" but for your body, determines how much damage your body can take.
heart is how easy it is to recover from getting rocked (when you button mash..how effective it is)
