Oops Ill get that updated...
Bibiano Fernandes is fighting Dynamite 2010 no opponent yet. But the resolved the pay dispute. Shame I wanted him to go to WEC... or UFC even, because I know they were interested in him.
Id love him to rematch Hellboy personally. I think Hellboy can get to the top at 145.

UFC & Strikeforce Veteran Jay Hieron Signs With Bellator
http://mmaweekly.com/ufc-strikeforce-veteran-jay-hieron-signs-with-bellator-mma
Glad to see Heiron in an organization that will appreciate him and i hope he goes on to win the tournament.
He got shitty treatment from Coker and strikeforce, since Diaz knew he couldn't piss clean and didnt even show up for the test costing heiron a shot at being the first Strikeforce WW champ. So SF find s a replacement in Jesse taylor and makes it a non title fight, and then after he won that, instead of awarding hieron, who did nothing wrong in the first place and making the diaz - Heiron fight afterwards for the belt, they relegate Jay to the under-card against Riggs, and give Diaz a HUGE push to the title.

He was supposed to have a title fight against Nick Diaz, but Diaz pulled out of the bout at the last minute and Strikeforce never rescheduled it.

Average fighter, was never deserving of a title fight against Diaz. Bellator is about his level.

Re: New MMA Calendar
Hieron was easily deserving a shot when you look at what WW strikeforce had under contract, they were just protecting and building diaz up,since diaz has struggled with wrestlers in the past,Stikeforce,Coker and Diaz did Heiron wrong.
If this shit happened in the UFC,we'd never hear the end of it from you about how shocking that is.
Riggs was given a chance, but pulled out, heiron stepped in,but diaz wouldn't take a piss test because he knew he would piss hot, taking away his shot.
And even though there was no WW champ yet, they made heirons fight a non title fight,he wins,Diaz fucked things up,so how does coker repay heiron,he drops him to the undercard where he beats the original guy who should of been fighting for the belt, while diaz gets to fight someone that has not even had a fight for strikeforce, for title.
What did Zaromski's do to get a shot ?

Zaromskis was Dream champion and top 10 ranked.
UFC frequently give fighters title shots and then take them away. Fighters who have actually earned their shots. Hieron didn't deserve a shot.

Ginginho wrote:Don't know if this has been mentioned but it looks like SRC will not be having a joint event with Dream this year, going it alone the day before instead in a card called Soul of Fight. I have read that Dream fighters may make an appearance if not booked for their NY event. So far it looks like this:
Senko Presents Sengoku Soul of Fight

Place: Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo, Japan
SRC Welterweight GP Series 2010 Final
Yasubey Enomoto vs. KTaro Nakamura

Ging thats not whats happening at all!
the guy on the left of the phot in the link is the head of FEG!! (owner of dream and k1)
FEG president Tanikawa was also present at the press conference and announced that he wants Dynamite!! to be more compact this year with around 10 fights (mostly MMA). He also wants to cooperate with the Sengoku event, sending fighters to each other. He mentioned Mizuto Hirota. He will try to help with the stand-up fights of the Sengoku event as much as he can. He wants the organizations to be more closely connected from next year and onward as well.
as far as i have heard, these guys are all taking part:
K-Taro
Yasubei Enomoto
Manabu Inoue
Shunichi Shimizu
Akitoshi Tamura
Taiyo Nakahara
Kazuo Misaki
Akihiro Gono
Kazunori Yokota
Maximo Blanco
Masanori Kanehara
Hiroshi Izumi

Re: New MMA Calendar
What I meant was that the events will be separate - Soul of Fight and the Dynamite shows will be on different nights at different venues, assuming Dynamite is at the Saitama on the 31st.
I did mention there would be co-operation as well, although I only said it was Dream to SRC and not shared as stated in the article.
I don't think I got it too wrong after all

Sengoku/Pancrase FW Champ Marlon Sandro Might Face Hatsu Hioki In “Soul Of Fight”
Sandro on fighting in Sengoku’s “Soul of Fight” event:
“So far nothing has been confirmed yet, but I must fight on Dec. 30, It just depends on my manager to set things right, but I’m training for 5 rounds to defend my title.”
Sandro talks about preparing for Hioki:
“I’m training hard with Leo Santos, who is almost his (Hioki) size. Leo has great BJJ and a world champion, but Hioki is good on the ground aswell.”

Re: New MMA Calendar
Really not impressed with the match-making for 127 in Australia.
Condit vs Lytle is rumoured, huge step down for Condit after beating top 6 or 7 in Hardy.
Bisping gets a can in Rivera who he'll slap and run from for 3 rounds.
George S vs Siver?? Makes no sense. George needs to pushing for contenders! Suppose they want to give him a more winnable fight in his home nation.

I agree - really pissed off I missed that event in Aussie last year, even more now that some of these fights have been announced cos they aren't inspiring me to fork out big time

Re: New MMA Calendar
I don't mind Condit v Lyttle as it should make for an entertaining fight, albeit one Condit should win.
Bisping v Rivera does nothing for me.
Fighting on his home soil after seven straight UFC wins you'd have expected Sotiropoulos would have been handed a big name, if not a title shot, fighters have got them for less. Denis Siver is a mid level lightweight.

I reckon Rivera will knock Bisping out. Hopefully he will attack, and not just stand there like Akiyama waiting to be hit.

Re: New MMA Calendar
I don't know, Rivera's always been an offensive fight so i can't see him waiting to be hit, sorry i mean 'tapped'. However he's simply just not a good fighter, which as much as i dislike The Cunt i can at least admit that he is a good fighter. The Cunt will just tap and run his way to another boring decision ala Leben, Henderson, Wandy, Miller and Akiyama

Re: New MMA Calendar
I cant get my head round the George S vs Siver?? fight either. Would have thought that George S vs Gomi and Siver vs Guida would make more sense, although tbh the Gomi vs Guida fight will be great to watch.
