New fight rules passed in the state of Utah today!

Post  Gibmeister on Wed Oct 27, 2010 2:42 am

According to Jeremy Horn on Facebook that The PSUAC (Pete Suazo Utah Athletic Commission) has passed new amateur MMA rules for Utah effective Nov. 1, 2010.

In summary knees and kicks to the head, kicks to the knees, elbows and
forearm strikes, strikes to the head of a grounded opponent, neck
cranks and twisting leg submissions will not be permitted under the
    ...newly adopted rules.

Could Nevada/Cali etc potentially look to review and follow suit???

So, basically it'll be thigh to shoulder permitted kickboxing with takedowns and armbars? that sounds awful!
