Another enjoyable night of fights from Bellator.
Eric Schambari vs. Luke Zachrich
Round 1 – Shot from Schambari early but Zachrich defends well. Zachrich has openings to land when Schambari punches. Zachrich defends the takedown again. Zachrich tries for a guillotine off a slam attempt from Schambari but now Eric is on top. Sweep by Zachrich and he’s on top in half guard. They’re up and a quick takedown from Schambari again. Zachrich tries rubber guard with no success. Zachrich keeps trying for the sweep but he’s not successful and Schambari goes right back to the head and arm and Zachrich taps for some reason without it looking anywhere close to locked in as Schambari was still in half guard, that was really a shock that he was able to finish from there.

Matt Major vs. Alexander Shlemenko
Round 1 -Shlemenko misses with the spinning back kick and then lands a nice body kick. Overhand right by Shlemenko and another spinning back kick. Major looks too comfortable on the outside here. Overhand left by Shlemenko and Major eats it flush. Uppercut from Major and he avoids a spinning backfist. Left to the body from Shlemenko. Shlemenko keeps firing spinning shots and Major appears content to stay standing which is a horrible idea. Major bleeding heavily from the nose. Shlemenko lands a right and then another body kick. Major is executing one of the worst gameplans ever right now. Right hand by Shlemenko. Right hand by Major, he gets the clinch and lets it go. Major tries to slip the spinning back kick and land a counter but doesn’t connect. More punches landing for Shlemenko. Major trying to turn it up with some kicks but not landing anything significant. The round ends as a clear 10-9 Shlemenko round.
Round 2- Huge body kick from Alexander lands and now a knee to the body. Shlemenko keeps throwing the spinning backfist over and over. Major trying to storm in with some punches but doesn’t really land. Body punch by Shlemenko. Left hand by Major is his best punch of the fight so far. Right hand by Shlemenko and then a spinning kick during which Alexander slips to the mat. Major jumps on him and is working soft punches to the body, he’s gotta be busy here to make something happen. Hammerfist by Major. Why he is content to sit in guard with his head on Shlemenko’s chest I do not know. Major ties to pass which allows Major to stand up. Knee to the groin by Shlemenko and we have a break in the action. The round ends and it’s another 10-9 Shlemenko.
Round 3 – Major has to do something here. Body kick from Shlemenko. Spinning back kick to the body. Body kick by Major and then one in return from Shlemenko. Shlemenko landing some big punches now and Major looked hurt. Major with a punch and a knee. Another big spinning back fist from Shlemenko. Another spinning back fist. Shlemenko keeps landing and Major is coming forward but he isn’t doing anything to score points. They go to the ground with 90 seconds and Major has to do something here. He’s just laying with his head on the chest. Why he isn’t passing or anything I don’t know. Shlemenko gets to his feet and lands a body punch. Big left from Shlemenko. Spinning back fist and Major’s mouthpiece comes out. The fight ends and it has to be 30-27 for Shlemenko. Official Scorecards: 30-27 across the board. Alexander Shlemenko wins by unanimous decision.
Sean Loeffler vs. Bryan Baker
Round 1 - Baker with a straight right. Baker with another right hand and a body kick by Loeffler . Baker with the trip takedown. Pass to side control by Baker. Loeffler tries for a leglock but can’t get ti. Baker landing big punches, Loeffler can’t do anything here, gives up his back and a few punches later the fight is over.
Bryan Baker wins by TKO (punches), round 1.
Jared Hess vs. Ryan McGivern
Round 1 – McGivern looks for the guillotine as Hess shoots in. Hess is able to finish the takedown though. Hess dives over with the right hand and is in side control now. Upkick from McGivern as Hess stands over him. Hess passes to side again but again McGivern regains guard. Right hand from Hess. Hess back to side control and landing a few short punches. Crucifix for a second by Hess who lands a few punches and McGivern escapes. The round ends and Hess controlled it for a 10-9.
Round 2 – Hess with a nice jab and then shoots in for a single. McGivern sprawls well. Hess drives through and finishes the takedown. Hess pulls guard for the guillotine after they stand up and McGivern is forced to tap.

So it's Schambari vs. Baker II and Shlemenko vs. Hess in middleweight semis at Bellator 20.
