Kickboxing and Boxing -Its a bit hard to do this list Povetkin was a kickboxing champ, Vitali had a 34-1 record when he was only a teenager... im sure there are 100's at low level but id find it an impossible list to make. Shannon Briggs and recently Bowe tried his hand at Kickboxing too. I think there will be at least as many as K1/MMA crossovers though Id not know who to look for.

yep! im sure you remember these guys

    Kazuhisa Watanabe: 18 boxing, 5 K1, 1 MMA
Boxing MMA K1 Crossover fighters. Kazuhisa_Watanabe_176821

    Yousuke Nishijima: 27 boxing, 5 MMA, 2 K1
Boxing MMA K1 Crossover fighters. Susumu23

There seems to be plenty who have competed in 2/3 professionally, but all 3 is rare. Anderson Silva is 1-1 in boxing and has been knocked out by Pele in pro MT fights...but there seems to be no official record for those.

Sergei Kharitonov was a very successful amatuer and fought in K1, Mousasi was a good amateur boxer too and went 2-0 in k1.

Cheers mate knew there was a few missing from Japan. Sapp fighting the fridge was so funny, in all honesty if Sapp had of trained and known his flaws early on he could have been great.

Didnt realise Eastman boxed! There are a huge number of MMA fighters who have boxed, as you say the list if you named guys who fought only 2 of the 3 would be Huge! Jeff Monson even Boxed, that always makes me laugh.

Pele and Anderson entered twice Curitiba's "Thai Gym tournament" and they ended up in the finals twice. Each time, Pele knocked Anderson out. Source : Pele interview in french magazine KUMITE.

Also, Pele used to knock-out everybody in Chute Boxe during hard core sparring sessions (no protections and pulling no punches). Fact acknowledged by Wanderlei and Ninja in Pele's vignettes presentation in Japanese edition DVD of PRIDE 14 & PRIDE 19 and by Anderson, Assuerio and Rodrigo Vidal in interviews for TATAME.

This ain't no myth. Even Anderson acknowledged many times that Pele has better stand-up skills than him. He even trained with Pele for his first encounter with Rich Franklin and for his fight against Travis Lutter (source : Pele interview for KUMITE).

Getting this from a Sherdog article...

I think it´s 24-3, two losses being to Pelé.

Wanderlei´s muay thai record in Brazil is more impressive, 29-0.

Reckon I should add on the Amature boxing ones, they still fought 3 sports I suppose. Really shows how there isnt the difference people make out, I think MMA fans have the most realistic take on it. Boxing is more of a sport and MMA is most like a real fight, K-1 showed that when you add in knees and kicks Boxing doesnt hold up even in a standup fight most times. Though as a sportsman they have less to learn so have finely tuned skills in a smaller area where an MMA guys us usually jack of all trades but couldnt hold a candle to the lowest boxer in their own game.

Heres one of Andersons Muay thai ones,

No real shock to look at the numbers so far...

Kickboxers have a rough 50/50 Split as to wether they fight Boxing or MMA, Seems logical as their sport seems half way between the two. Id like to see more Boxing vs MMA rivalries set under K-1 or Muay Thai rules myself insted of all this talk of coming to each othes sport where they both dont do well.

MMA fighters are more likely to Kickbox than box - no supprise there having similar rules for the standup portion of the fight and clintchwork in a lot of kickboxing (K-1 partially and Muay Thai etc)

Much more MMA fighters have tried their hand at Boxing than the other way round. I believe thats mostly due to pay than MMA figthers doing well at Boxing.

JWP (John Wayne Parr) has done all 3 can not believe I forgot JWP.

Another Big Name former IBF CW Champion James Warring has don all 3.

Denis Grachev has done all 3 (Last year he surprised Grachev upset the long time undefeated Zsolt Erdei)

Sokoudjou has done Muay Thai, Kickboxing and MMA.

Riddick Bowe recently took part in a Muay Thai fight so I suppose you could add him.

Great finds lads, im thinking of looking at them and see who has done well when they have crossed over. Would that be an unfair comparison? You get guys like Mercer who get Bonjasky and Sylvia who are former champs in their sport and then you look at guys like Monson who have boxed and the level it has been at. I think overall crossing over to Boxing might be done at lower level than crossing over to MMA? Reckon so?

In terms of who has been the most successful in all 3, that honour would go to Sergei Kharitonov IMO...what do you think?

Successful MMA fighter (19-5) with wins over Overeem, Werdum, Arlovski, Rizzo, Semmy plus he subbed Russow with ease and that unforgettable KO over poor Ninja. Shame he never got the chance to fight for a major title.
semi finalist in PRIDE HW and Strikeforce HW gps.
In kickboxing he is inexperienced as a pro but he is at the level of a strong journeyman and could have been a contender in the mold of JLB if he had been fully dedicated from the start.
Boxing MMA K1 Crossover fighters. Sergeimo100 JLB vs Sergei in kickboxing will happen in September by the way!! Very Happy
He has only 1 pro fight but is a very high level amateur winning silver at the Asian, Central asian and Russian championships. He passed on the chance to compete in Athens olympics in order to fight in the PRIDE HWGP.

Mousasi is the other one, 34-3 in MMA :O
he beat Kyotaro in K-1 which is really a great feat considering there are very few fighters Kyotaro's own size who could beat him. He also KO'd a strong vet in Musashi.
Never fought pro boxing but was Netherlands amateur champ!

Crocop would be up there with major tournament wins in MMA and K1 but he never did anything significant in boxing, despite going 40-5 as an amateur during his K1 hiatus.

For a guy who hasnt done all 3 Schilt had great success in MMA. He is one of the all time greats in K-1 and in MMA was one of the top ranked fighters in the world for a while.

JLB vs Sergei will be great! Too serious hard men slugging it out, 1st one to back off loses! Can see some epic toe to toe action. Wished we had of seen Sergei in UFC before he retired, wonder if he will fight MMA again, its been a while...
