Fighters can be added based on the following things,
.Titles (Major Title are considered would be UFC, Strikeforce, Pride, Shoto, Pancrase)
.Undefeated Streaks
.Wins over top class fighters
.P4p - Going up and down weight classes is a bonus if your a smaller man who has beat guys in weight classes above him thats a plus point.
.Contribution to MMA - Older fighers may not have the same "names" on their record but if they revolutionarised a style or helped MMA become the sport it is today they should be given credit.

Re: Hall of Fame *Under Construction*
Funaki is already in mate, He was in good and early and has the record to back it up.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lil' Evil and Pat Miletech just didnt make the grade they were two names battet about, he left them Don Frye and Tito all out, they seemed to be 4 of the most popular guys to not be in the HOF. I was half tempeted to put Pat and Jens in for sure, I think they are poth poineers of the sport but both of their careers never reached the level of other HOF fighers... I dont know maby we should slightly lower the bar and allow them in... after all Ken Shamrock is in and his career hardly ended on a good note? If they go in it does open the floodgates to lesser fighers though.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shogun is too young, his career is still going but Ive no doubt after he whoops Machida again and gets a few defences under his belt he will be in the HOF.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ricco Rodriguez is a bit of a strange suggestion I have to say... his record really doesnt stack up, I think he has lost more often than not when fighting against other top heavys
Wins: Arlovski, Buentello, Monson, Broughton, Couture
Losses: Sylvia, Monson, Nog, Rizzo, Rothwell, Bigfoot
And he has a few terrible losses like to Mario Rinaldi, Travis Wiuff, Robert Beraun, Ron Waterman, Bobby Hoffman.... I just dont think Ricco makes the grade.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Antonio Inoki is more Pro Wrestling HOF
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rickson Gracie is a good shout, I suggested him but he doesnt really have much of a record, he didnt really fight enough and his record of 1000 fights undefeated or whatever seems like bullshit...
Rorion Gracie, maby BJJ HOF, couldnt really put him in with other MMA fighers

Re: Hall of Fame *Under Construction*
Pat, Jens, Tito are borderline...i wouldn't put tito in because all he ever had was his streak of 5 title defences, and they were all against poor fighters. He never clearly beat a top guy in their prime. e.g. bonafide HOFers chuck, frank and randy beat him clearly.
his best wins were when he scraped past wand, forrest and vitor.
the others could make an argument, e.g. who was a well rounded fighter before Pat? that plus a long title reign, plus the first "super camp".
Jens was the first LW star...
but i would not be bothered either way, ill leave it up to you guys.
Ricco? i dont think so. He can go in the same category as Timmeh ad Andrei for me. Good champs...not HOF material.
anyway i changed the pictures not tp have the records in it:
wand isnt great, best one is royce i think

What decision is that, then? The Ricco, Nog fight? Should Ricco have won?? Sorry, haven't seen that fight, worth watching?

Re: Hall of Fame *Under Construction*
its contraversial because Ricco controlled him for most of the fight, but Nog was the one looking for submissions the whole time.

Trust me when I say I've tried my best to get Pulver in
The others though, I pretty much agree with Ben's explanations.

Better with the english commentary, where you here the pride comentators nearly die of embarassment after that decision.
Ricco was actually contracted to the UFC for this fight, so......

Re: Hall of Fame *Under Construction*
Good post Payne ive never seen that, Ricco used to be the dogs balls, Its a bitty he wasted the later half of his career being fat! Id love to see him get back on track, He is back in shape, he would make a good opponent for Lashley in SF....
Yeah I remember thinking he was robbed in Pride because he was a UFC guy.
