UFC 111 offical weigh-ins !

The festivities took place at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., site of Saturday night's UFC 111 event, and the ceremonies went off without a hitch.

Leading the way were UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and challenger Dan Hardy, who meet in the evening's main event.

Both fighter were on the mark at 170 pounds, and both promised a memorable bout.

"I'm just excited, man," Hardy said after weighing in. "It's going to be explosive. It's going to be a war. I'm ready to go 25 minutes, and I can't wait."

Hardy, sporting red-tinted contact lenses in his eyes looked ready to deliver on his promise, and he bounced up and down excitedly during the traditional staredown.

Meanwhile, the champ claimed he was also prepared while remaining steadfast in his always stoic nature.

"I'm going to deliver the best performance of my career," St-Pierre said.

Co-main event fighters Shane Carwin and Frank Mir, who will meet to contest the organization's vacant interim heavyweight title, each weighed on the mark as well, tipping the scales at 265 pounds each.

GSP looked really dehydrated, immediatly got some water after stepping off the scales, whereas Hardy was bouncing along waiting for GSP to get in his face.

Carwin looked abit flabby and pudgy at 265, whereas Mir looked ripped, you can tell he had to cut to 265.

7lbs over! I wouldnt fight the guy, thats near 2 weight classes in Boxing!!

I saw a pic of Hardy and GSP... Jesus Hardy is a really big Welter! Id like him to give GSP some trouble at least and ive a feeling it wont be a one sided beatdown like most GSP fight, but still sticking with my prediction... I think that was GSP to Sub him in 2!! Cant stop those GSP TD's.

Any Pics of Mir and Carwin? Id love to see what they look like becide each other...

And COME ON SAUNDERS!!!! This is by far the fight that means most to me, love Saunders and id kill to see him win this one and become a contender. Even him vs Hardy would be a war. Id love him to batter Swick.

Carwin 6'4??? My bollox he is. I think hes 6'1 or 6'0. He also looks kinda fat

cheers for that Red. Yeah I heard Carwins height is wrong a few other places as well. I heard he was about 6" and no more id say thats True. He has an Inch of Reach on Mir and Id believe that looking at that pic. I wonder how maby other fights in UFC's history under the unified rules have both fighers come in right at the upper weight limit or cut to make 265.

Carwin is a big brute, guy has crazy power, the hardest hitting Heavy? more power than Rogers or Overeem? Maby?

This is going to be a great fight, Not the card ive been most excited for but 2 amazing main events and Ben Saunders and Matt Brown dont have a dull moment between them! I hope We get to see Palhares fight, shame he hasnt made more main cards and its not like he has been loosing guy lost to Hendo and a decision in his 3rd fight.

he is definatley the bigger guy. i know he is wearing shoes but look at where their respective shoulders are in that pic.

carwin is broader and i think those things that look like love-handles are actually oblique muscles...



brock has the same thing, they dont look good but theyre functional...bodybuilders dont excersize them because it makes them look fat.
