    Legendary stuff mate, ive seen none of it... im just working my way through Sengoku now. Paixao is a killer, I was 100% we was winning that one! Serious wee powerhouse with a top notch groudgame. Small guy even for 145... wonder if he could become a force at 135. Glad to see him winning, ive followed his for his last few fights.

    Two thousand dollars to fight? Fuck me the wee men dont make a lot of money, no wonder 155ers leave Zuffa insted of dropping from UFC to WEC, the pay is shite. Shocking there is so little money in it.

    Bowles was the top 135lbs fighter in the world, literally the number 1 guy in all of the world and he is making less for his fight than a McDOnnalds worker makes in a year! Laughing Some of those wee men need a payrise cause they put of some fantastic scraps.

    Zuffa needs to stop discriminating against my people! Laughing It isnt WWE you dont need to be 7"2 and 400lbs to be popular, I dont know how shite fighters like Kimbo make 10X more than the champ at a lower weight? Boxing doesnt work this way, Why sould MMA be different.

    I really really want UFC to have 135-265lbs weight classes and see the WEC used as a Bleague. For old guys and up and commers.

    This event only got a 0.46 household rating, which is about 373,000 viewers. This is the WEC's second lowest rating in the last two years. It's a shame to see such a decent card pull such low numbers and not good news with the first pay per view event coming up. Hopefully the inclusion of Faber, the WEC's biggest draw, and Aldo the buy rate should be better.

    Recent WEC broadcasts as compiled by MMAjunkie.com:

    * WEC 47 (Bowles vs. Cruz): 373,000 viewers
    * WEC 46 (Varner vs. Henderson): 640,000
    * WEC 45 (Cerrone vs. Ratciff): 330,000
    * WEC 44 (Brown vs. Aldo): 414,000
    * WEC 43 (Cerrone vs. Henderson): 419,000 (first event after loss of DirecTV viewers)
    * WEC 42 (Torres vs. Bowles): 670,000
    * WEC 41 (Brown vs. Faber II): 1,300,000
    * WEC 40 (Torres vs. Mizugaki): n/a
    * WEC 39 (Brown vs. Garcia): 531,000
    * WEC 38 (Varner vs. Cerrone): 702,000
    * WEC 37 (Torres vs. Tapia): 671,000
    * WEC 36 (Faber vs. Brown): 497,000
    * WEC 35 (Condit vs. Miura): 423,000
    * WEC 34 (Faber vs. Pulver): 1,540,000

    It's all down to the fact that they air there shows on VS.

    The UFC on VS numbers,I guarantee will be some of the worst UFC viewing figures ever.

    It's down to all this shit between Comcast and Direct TV.

    Direct TV is the biggest Satalite provider in the US by quite a large margin but they have refused to pay Comcast the extra money they wanted for Airing VS,so now over half of the people in the US who have satalite can't even get VS unlike Spike that every satalite owner can get.

    Yeah mate

    I live in the US,have not missed a UFC event or FN since UFC 42 but now me and many others are going to have to find streams online because they decide to do a show on VS.

    I can't see the sence in this,apart from ZUFFA trying to get more people aware of VS,so they can boost the profile and awarness of the WEC,I mean Spike TV is the home of the UFC and I don't think the UFC have any plans of leaving them,they just started a new UFC show on there the other day,so wouldn't it be a much better Idea for ZUFFA to get the WEC moved over to Spike TV as well.

    The upside of things though is I saw the new season of Bellator advertised the other day on Fox sports net cheers

    No I've not heard they are close to resolving it,I know it's been dragging on for ages now,it would be great if they do.

    UFC,Bellator and WEC cheers all I have to do next is fork out the extra for HD net,so I can get all the Dream and Sengoku fights live on my TV.

    I was gutted when direct TV lost VS,but only for the WEC,the rest of the sports they show like NHL,Hunting,fishing,Bull riding and stuff like that,I couldn't really give a shit about(sports I'll watch if there is nothing on)

    Fucking hell lads if you havnt seen it anyone... ive only got around to watching WEC tonight...

    http://www.mmalinker.com/external/frames/29144/Brian_Bowles_vs_Dominick_Cruz_VIDEO_WEC_47FULL_TITLE_FIGHT

    Cruz Shocked "The Kids a Wreckingmachine" as they say!! Shocked

    Thats some crazily crazily good standup. One loss in his career and its to Faber who is in the weight class above him! Cruz looked one big 135er people always said Bowles could ba a 145er and Cruz tossed him around. That standup really was something special, talk about being light on your feet. Footwork like that is rarely seen in MMA full stop. Serious confidence in his standup to fight like that

    Joseph Benavidez was superb as well, his fight with Torres is up on MMA linker... His takedowns looked like Sherk back in the day and he neutralised a near foot reach advantage but holding his own lead hand out and often both hands... or Diaz style as its called! Laughing

    Someone needs to give these guys a payrise or a spot on the Main UFC cards seriously.

    (Now to watch Pulver looser Crying or Very sad )
