Lads there hasnt been much talk about the last WEC event, Ive just finished watching the last few fights I though Id post all the Video links because there wasnt a dull moment in the show... there usually isnt with the lighter guys. Im becoming a Huge WEC fan. In boxing the best fighters to watch are under 150lbs and it could well be the case for MMA as well...

Anyway, if you havnt seen them enjoy!!

How do people think that the WEC 155ers would to in the UFC? I wonder if they could have some WEC Lw's step up to fight Penn...

Jamie Varner is 25 and has a record of 16-2-0 (5 KO, 9 Sub)
Ben Henderson is only 26 and has a record of 10-1-0 (2 KO, 6 Sub)
Donald Cerrone is also 26 and has a record of 11-2-0 (0 KO, 10 Sub)
Anthony Njokuani is 29 and has a record of 12-2-0 (7 KO, 0 Sub)

There some of the best ones in the WEC. I wonder when Varner and Henderson fight could the winner be promoted to the UFC?

Maby not a shot at Penn at their age with other fighters waiting in the wings but some of them surely have promising futures and Id love to know how they stack up to guys like Joe Stevenson or Clay Guida for example. Id like to see Varner fight Frankie Edgar.

Thats an intresting point Ben, id like to see how they would do.

I don't rate Njokuani too highly, although fair play on beating the 12 year old. Good striker but looks pretty average on the floor, BJ would run through him. Don't think Maynard would have any problems, KenFlo would outclass him and I think guys like Edgar, Griffin, Sanchez, Tibau, Pellinrino, Diaz, Miller, Lauzon, Guillard, Daddy, Guida and Escudero and possibly a few others who could beat him in a round. Guillard vs Njokuani would be an excellent slugfest though.

The other three would fair better I think. All three are more well rounded and overall better MMA fighters. Varner was in the UFC not too long ago and went 1-1, lost to Franca. He is a lot better no though. Cerrone is just a warrior, good striker but has good submissions. Cerrone vs Guida would be an all out war. Henderson is a really good wrestler and a good all round fighter. I would pick all three to beat a few of the UFC LWs, I think the could beat Pellingrino, Guillard and possibly Diaz. They would probably struggle against the higher level ones, Sanchez, Miller, Escudero, Daddy, Edgar, Griffin, more so with Maynard and Kenflo and especially BJ Penn.

Lauzon vs Cerrone and Stout vs Varner would be excellent. Id also like to see Jim Miller vs Henderson.

I think some UFC LWs should consider going to the WEC, either at LW or FW. I think Josh Neer should probably make the move, he has been absolutley ragdolled in his last two fights. He could probably hang around at LW but possibly FW. Nelson just needs to move to FW, he also has been absolutley RAGDOLLED, the very definition in his last two fights. He is a good fighter but he needs to move to FW, possibly even BW. Tiny LW. There are a few more, id actually recomend Edgar to move because he is too small for the top LWs and Fisher as well, An Always exciting fighter but never a champion. He could be one of the top contenders in the WEC. Matt Wiman should go to the WEC, Jason Dent should go, Uno should go and possibly Sotiropulas. All these good fighters would make a very solid division.
