The Armbar Cup (and Saucer) - Update Empty The Armbar Cup (and Saucer) - Update

Post  Ginginho Mon Feb 22, 2010 11:14 am

With only 5 fights left there isn't many opportunities for some to make up the necessary ground to take out the round. Please try to play fairly. It is supposed to be a bit of fun after all so please try to refrain from "strategic" predicting to protect a week one lead. You can PM me any changes if you want to ensure you are protected from this.

One player copy and pasted someone elses this week, making a slight change. While this is not specifically forbidden, it is IMO against the spirit of fair play so have had their bonus points stripped.

Fuck I am sounding like a bitch lately... Evil or Very Mad

I did really poorly in this event but nice to qualify.

I'm 25 ahead of Chesty with 5 fights left. Fingers crosses. Think i need to call 4 of them right and get at least 1 or 2 finishes/rounds correct to be certain.

For those that lose in the saucer, will there be a teaspoon?

Sure will be!!! The 6 highest scoring losers in the Cup and Saucer go through to the Teaspoon.

Sounds like a good idea, Ginginho will need another tourney to go into once I overhall his 15 point lead.

Sounds good to me. and out of interest, how do you envisage the last 6 of the tourney working? do two people get byes? Or pools of 3? Or a league format with the top 4 going thru to the semis?

The top six get matched up with the losers getting knocked out. The following week the top 3 play an elimination final with the lowest scoring player knocked out, leaving the final 2 who play off for the final the following week.

Do these people not realize they are messing up our predictions league??

Everyone has picked Filho to win, and then Leites to win. Leites will be fighting a can. So move the predictions for his original fight over to his new fight. Re-instate the original Filho picks. And then obviously keep the Monson and Maldonaldo fights.

Not use Bitetti at all and just base it on the UFC plus MFC and Challengers, making it virtually impossible for CHESTY to beat me Twisted Evil
