They should have just called it the UFC awards. Some laughable decisions.

Lesnar has a single title defence this year and that is all!

he would be closer to a good choice for the 2008 award.

    well done Mousasi.

Aldo should have won Break through of the year, Brock should have won it last year.
GSP deserves fighter of the year. MMAJUNKIE rules.

MMAJunkie is basically a forum for the UFC. Completely biased. Good website, but there are better.

Tapout winning best clothing, brand and shorts?? Fuck right off.

Lesnar winning breakout star is comical.

Other than Mousasi, Imada and Cyborg(who were all certainties to win) no other award went to anyone who wasn't majorly connected to the UFC.

    Did anyone see these awards?

Cyborg, while still not looking attractive, looked far less revolting than normal.

One other thing, i thought these awards were bogus and UFC biased having seen only the winners. Having seen the nominees it's just a complete joke.

All 5 breakthrough fighters were UFC fighters(Carwin, Hardy, Bones, Cain and Lesnar??). No breakthrough fighters in any other organisation? Even Aldo and Bowles would have sufficed! But what about Bellator, Sengoku and Dream. Surely Zaromskis is a breakthrough fighter?

All 5 Ko's of the year were in UFC fights(Evans vs Chuck, Hendo vs The Cunt, Nate vs Maia, Machida vs Evans and Silva vs Griffin). Neither of Fedor's get a mention. Hilarious.

All 5 ring girls were UFC ring girls(only 1 of whom is still with the company, Tito was actually laughing because he knew it was fixed. Holly Madison did 1 show and she gets nominated!! No Strikeforce or WEC girls considered??)

4 of the 5 fights of the year were UFC fights(Sanchez vs Guida, Franklin vs Silva(?), Lesnar vs Mir(one sided ass kickin!!), and Nog vs Couture(??) Bullshit!) the 5th was Faber vs Brown, also Zuffa. No good fights in Bellator, Strikeforce, Dream or Sengoku over the last year? .

4 of the fighters of the year(GSP, Machida, Lesnar, Silva) and the other was Brown, also Zuffa. No Fedor? Diaz? Shields? Mousasi? Aoki? Alvarez?

These awards were a complete farce. I've sent a very very long rant of an email to Fighters Only asking them how Dana's ass tastes.

If i get a reply i'll post it here. i'm really disappointed in Fighters Only. I had bought every issue of their mag since it first came out and had introduced a number of people to it. I had noticed a worrying lean towards UFC bias over the last couple of issues but this was just ridiculous.

Anfield mate post your ranting e-mail here for us, I'd love to read it!

Some of these awards are just stupid... best MMA gloves? Who the hell cares! I'm surprised there wasn't a best cueball category there to be won emphatically by Dana.

Maybe we could have our own "alternative" UFC awards such as:

The Supersize Big Mac Meal and DIET coke award......Winner-Roy Nelson

The We are the UFC and nothing will stop us award......Winner-UFC 108 fight card

The We really care about the people who just paid £250+ for a ticket award......Winner-UFC 108

I'm not very good at comedy but some of you will come up with some crackers I'm sure......

The "Lets jump into the air for no reason and get KOed" Award

    The nominees are...

    Arvloski against Fedor

    Maia against Nate

Horedecki against Njokuni (not quite the same but equally stupid and I needed more nominees)

Struve against Buentello (even though he didn't get Koed)

    And the winner is...
