That headkick KO'd Munoz through his guard! He couldnt have worse timing in a way, Weidman has burst on to the scene, Belfort is looking as good as I remember, Jacare and Mousasi have joined the title race.

Thats not to mention Anderson Silva being the number 1 contender. Silva may be close to retirement but if he beats Weidman in the rematch Machida might have to be the man to retire him and ive been hearing talk that they might be ok to fight each other.

Machida is obviously naturally at 185er and although we havnt seen his cardio pushed I think he will be ok. Dana wants his next fight to be Belfort but Mousasi said he wanted the fight. Whichever fight he gets I hope it is soon because the Mw devision is the one to watch for me.

What way do you all want to see the top of the devision matched up and do you think Hendo would get a shot by beating Belfort or has that boat sailed for Hendo?

I definitely see Machida fighting for the title, sooner, rather than later. Unfortunately though, I don't see Hendo getting a shot. Belfort/Machida would be a good test, although due to the TRT issue, that fight would have to take place outside of the US, so limits the opportunity for the fight, and might make Machida/Mousasi are more viable alternative. I think that Belfort's style of attacks coming in bursts, would suit Machida's style perfectly, not so sure that a fight against Mousasi would. For me, I would like to see Belfort/Machida & a Jacare/Mousasi rematch, with the two winners squaring off for a title eliminator. Should Silva beat Weidman, there would probably (depending on how close it was) be calls for a rubber match, if the win (for either) was clear cut, then whoever wins their fight most impressively (Belfort?Machida/Jacare/Mousasi) could be promoted to title shot, regardless of results, Bisping surely has moved down the pecking order for a shot.

I can see Machida getting fast tracked to a Title fight especially If Weidman wins the rematch with Anderson as obviously I can't see Machida Anderson fighting at any point (hopefully I'm wrong though). You get the impression Zuffa are desperate for Machida to stop Vitor getting anywhere near the Title with his current TRT situation.

If Anderson does win the rematch and Vitor loses to Hendo he's going to be in a very difficult position.

Machida said he hasnt spoken to Anderson silva for a long time... Reading recent interviews he sounds ready to fight him.

Machida is being fast tracked id agree. Belfort has already earned his shot and no doubt is doing to run though old man Hendo next.

If you beat Hendo, Rockhold and Bisping back to back you have earned your shot. Id like to see Vitor get the title shot if he beats Hendo and Machida matched up with Jacare or Mousasi in a number 1 contenders fight.

I agree Ben Vitor has easily earned a shot at the Belt but as I said the whole TRT and fighting in Brazil is obviously the reason Vitor seems to be second thought the UFC when talking about potential challengers.

I didn't realize Machida was willing to fight Anderson...That's a fight that I have always been intrigued by.

Yeah Machida and Anderson could be good though ive a feeling the fact they are both counter strikers could make for a bad fight...

Belfort has come out and said Machida is a fight he doesnt want, he said it was a bad matchup of styles or something! That sounds like "Please dont let Machida kick my teeth out" to me... Weird to hear Belfort talk like that, scared to fight someone!!

Belfort said he will drop the TRT for a title shot if needed. Whats the deal with it anyway, I know he was denied a licence for it somewhere in the states wasnt he? Surely they can just pick a state he can fight in... this whole legalised steriods is getting a bit much, its frustrating to see Belfort a super athlete again and guys like Shogun and Wand taking a mortal high ground on taking them.

You took the words right of my mouth Ben, as much as respect both fighters, I see a Machida/Silva match up, not being the greatest spectacle.

I personally see Vitors, rush in, style of fighting, being tailor made for Lyoto, I personally don't agree with the whole TRT thing, but as you say, you cannot have one fighter on them, criticising others for taking it.

Machida vs Mousasi has been booked, thats one we wanted for ages. I think Machida is going to wipe the floor with him. Mousasi is great and 185 is where he belongs but I havnt been impressed with him in a long time, I still cant get the Jardine fight out of my head.

Machida KO's Mousasi then gets a title shot I think.

Unfortunatley I think Weidman beats Anderson again. For me Anderson is like RJJ, all that skill to slip punches etc.. but once that speed starts to fade with age he will start looking human.

Where does Cung Le fit into the devision after KOing Franklin... I was thinking that a fight with Jacare next would be great but its hard to say where he is in the devision because he is so inactive with Movies etc.

I think that you're right with regards to Machida/Mousasi, would love to see someone test Machidas ground game, but he has great TDD, and I really see him picking off Mousasi. Late stoppage for me.

With regards to Silva/Weidman II, I actually see Silva stopping him, I would like to think, that this has served as a warning to Silva, although some of his comments of late (Andersons) indicate that he doesn't think his style needs to be changed (which is a worry).

I love Cung Le, his style is so unique, and I wish he had of devoted more time to his MMA career, but for me, he's not going to be anything other, than a stepping stone for some, and a fan draw for the UFC.

Dana has confirmed that Belfort gets the next shot if he beats Hendo and rightly so.

Machida will have to look for another fight and I consider Jarace above Mousasi, Id back him 9/10 times in a rematch but really either or would be a great fight.
