I think these guys are seen as two real underdogs in their fights. Im a huge fan of Nog so im going to say Sonnen probabally without giving it a second thought.

I honestly dont even love his chances standing, Rashads striking has come on at the Blackzillians and Nog is pretty much a Boxer standing so I can see him battering those legs and then getting a lot of TD's. Both men have what it takes to KO each other Standing but I think Nog has better Chin to Power ratio and would fancy him to be the one scoring a KO in an exchange. When Nog starts to land he can put combos togeather like only a Boxer can, he has a decent shot at winning standing. Even with Rashads speed he gets hit and Nog is an accurate striker.

Grappling Evans should be able to improve on what Bader, Davis etc.. did and controll him because he isnt too offensive off his back these days. He has only 1 Sub win in 13 fights since he Armbarred Hendo back in Pride! Id like to say theres a threat of a Nog sub but I dont see him catching Rashad when he has top controll.

Nog has a decnt chance to win this standing.

Sonnen vs Jones is so hard to me to picture a Sonnen win. Beating Marquardt and Okami and his brilliant showing in the 1st Anderson fight dont convince me he is going to do much to Jones. I dont see the Boxing that he showed in that 1st fight with Silva happening again, Bisping and Stann showed that he isnt some elite striker. Jones will handle him standing. Chael may be the 1st man to take him down but I dont see him controlling Jones on the ground if he gets the rare takedown, I see Jones Subbing him if they are grappling, those long limbs make it too easy to throw up some Sonnen Kryptonite and Triangle the fuck out of him! I think Nog vs Rashad will be a good competitive fight, while I see Jones having the easiest defense of his title yet.

I don't even see Sonnen's wrestling being a factor, just like it didn't help Rashad,Bader,The janitor or hammill before him.

Jones's size, range, wrestling and takedown defense is going to be able to handle whatever Sonnen attempts IMO,putting silva on his back is a completely different thing,to putting jones in the same situation.

the only similarities I can imagine happening to compare from the Jones - Sonnen fight to the Silva - sonnen fights will be,the second round of their second fight.

I doubt he'll need this, but also we know Sonnen is vulnerable to submissions, well Jones has a good range of them in his arsenal, then you have the striking, obviously the range is a huge factor, but Cheal was also hurt pretty badly by the punching power of Bisping, well when it comes to a comparison of Jones's striking power and Bispings, well there's no comparison.

Sonnen will be made to look completely out of his depth in this fight, there's no doubts in my mind.

Sonnen vs Bones is an MW vs a HW so I'll go with Sonnen. At least Nog vs Evans is two guys from the same weight class.

Who are you Writing off in their next fight more? Sonnen or Lil' Nog Rogerio-Minotouro-e-Rafael-Feijao-no-Team-Nogueira-Foto-GRACIEMAG1

    G)

Rogerio “Minotouro” Nogueira is yet another Jiu-Jitsu whiz on the Feb. 2 card for UFC 156 in Las Vegas.

Nogueira, who takes on Rashad Evans in the co-main event, told GRACIEMAG.com about his game plan for the fight and how Jiu-Jitsu could prove decisive in determining the outcome.

“In a fight, anything can happen,” Minotauro said. “He may come to strike, but there’s a chance of it going to the ground. I feel there’s a lot of Jiu-Jitsu things to do in the fight.”

On Rashad Evans, who enters the fight on the back of losing a title challenge against Jon Jones at UFC 145, Nogueira broke down his style and emphasized that Jiu-Jitsu may be the key to victory.

“Rashad is a guy with a lot of wrestling experience in the United States, and that’s why I feel Jiu-Jitsu could make the difference in this fight,” said the Brazilian.

Looks like he realises Rashad is going to put him on his back which is refreshingly honest compared to MMA fighters who almost expect every fight to go their way. He looks good and lean coming into this, I hope we see more energy out of him when he is put on his back.

Feijao looks to be shifting the weight well, when is he back?

I wonder how come Feijao has lost so much weight. Wink

To me Sonnen would be far the bigger upset I just don't see how he wins this fight he has no advantage to me.

Can anyone see Jones TDD defense staying at 100% after this fight? Sonnen is supposed to have packed on the weight for the move back to 205, his offensive wrestling is very good, I could imagine him pulling those legs togeather up against the cage and scoring a TD...

Still dont see him doing it enough to win a 5 round decision. Reckon he scores a TD though but I think he will get finished.

Wonder if Lil Nog will stick around long if he looses to Evans. I dont know if he has long left on his UFC contract or not but id say a loss should put him in a retirement fight. Id love to see him and Wand do a retirement fight if they both lose.
