Diaz will win. He's a better boxer and better at BJJ. Condit's only hope is landing a big shot and knocking him out, dont see it happening but.

Who next for Koscheck then? Will it be at middleweight or welter do yous reckon?
At welter I can see it being Kampmann possibly?

Kampmann is fighting Alves in Australia at UFC on FX 2 in March.
At welterweight, Rory MacDonald looks the only likely candidate for me.

True forgot about that.
Yeah I was thinking MacDonald too, but the UFC seem to be reluctant to test him in the big leagues, hopefully they make that match up it would be very interesting!

Damn that is a shame still Condit vs Diaz should be great.

All Diaz, all day. Can't see Condit beating him regardless of where the fight goes. Should be a great build up. Two outspoken angry young men.
Shame about GSP, this could really affect his future. Shogun hasn't been the same since his first blown ACL. I doubt we'll see GSP until 2013 to be honest.
Kos against Rory seems to only option.

The only good thing that can come from this is that if, i mean when Diaz beats Condit the Diaz GSP fight has to be made!!!!

Gutted GSP is out,but still Condit vs Diaz has the promise of being a great fight.
This could turn out to be an early contender for fight of the year, hopefully.
Both rangy, relentless fighters that have no prblems going the distance in a 5 rounder and they are both capable of stopping the other in all 5 rds.
You have to put Diaz as the favourite, but there's no way I'd count Condit out.

Fuck, that's pretty worrying. GSP has suffered from a couple of injuries now and I hope it doesn't start to catch up with him. A blown ACL is a nightmare.
With that being said Diaz vs Condit should be a great fight. I'm favoring Diaz here because I think he's just a bit better everywhere although Condit has more KO power. Diaz has an immense chin though. Should be a great fight. It's for the interim title isn't it?
I think Kos should go to MW and so should Fitch IMO. Niether one will ever win the title at WW while GSP is champion, especially Kos. Fitch could win if he ever gets a rematch but I doubt it. I doubt Kos will be given a third fight against GSP. I actually think he could be a contender at MW, if he adds a bit of muscle.

I think Fitch would stand a great chance of beating either Diaz or Condit for the interim belt though, don't you?
Not saying he'd have a better chance against GSP, but he could easily become WW interm champ in the meantime. Surely they won't just do this fight and then GSP will be back, otherwise why have an interim title? They must expect him to be out a while, allowing Fitch to get a shot.
On that note, does Fitch have plans? He was injured too right?

Kos is asking to fight at 185 again. I reckon Wanderlei should take the fight because he was one of the names Kos called out at 185 before.

I like this fight more, as a fight, as I think Condit is actually capable of hurting Diaz.
However it is probably less interesting as a contest, and it sucks we have to wait more than a year to see Diaz fight GSP. A GSP that I doubt will be 100%, I might add.
Diaz will probably squeeze in an interim defence before GSP returns. How do you see Nick vs Fitch going down...?

That's right, ta. So if he wins that i think he'll be the first defence against Diaz-Condit winner.
I suppose a Diaz-Fitch fight would be mostly Fitch on top trying not to get subbed......

GSP should be stripped of the title and Condit v Diaz should be for the title. I appreciate it's not his fault but you can't find once in 18 months while the rest of the weight class careers pass them by (so to speak).

It's funny, there's 3 UFC champions at the minute that have been injured lately. GSP is the only one actually hurt, while the other two are just ducking people, and yet he gets the most abuse.

It is for an interim belt.
Why should GSP be stripped??

The whole point of the interim title is for situations like these. He shouldn't be stripped IMO.
I think it will end up being Fitch vs Diaz. With all due respect to Condit, I think he's a level behind the top of the division. I wouldn't fancy his chances against Diaz, Fitch, GSP, Kos or Shields. Hendricks definitely isn't at that level yet, he hasn't beaten one top 10 fighter. Not sure why he's getting a shot at Fitch. I think Diaz and Fitch will win there fights and if there's enough time before GSP gets back they will end up fighting each other. I would pick Fitch to win in that scenario.

Surely Fitch should be part of an interim title fight - he's been around 2 or 3 in the WW rankings for at least 2 years and never got a rematch with GSP. Give him a shot, even though I hate his style of fighting.

No this is fair and it's nice to see Dana doing the right thing for once. Condit was given the shot, deserved or undeserved, then GSP got hurt the first time and he was promised he'd get the shot when he came back, then he gets pushed aside so Diaz can fight GSP. It's only fair that he get this fight with Diaz because the shot at GSP became his when Diaz was dumped out for not going to a press conference.
