Big country v cro cop

Mirko Cro Cop appeared on Croatian sports TV show "Gol" this morning, and stated that he'll be facing off against Roy "Big Country" Nelson at UFC 137 in October.
With both fighters coming off 2 losses on the bounce and with cro cops contract coming to an end. Thi seems like a perfect match up. Loser leaves, new deal for the winner. Or at least 1 more fight for the winner.

Was looking forward to Nelson trying to make 205 never mind, strange match up stylistically not sure who I fancy

That was weird, about 4 hours ago CC was apparently going to fight Jon Olav Einemo!
All sorts of shit going down today.

Anyway, agree with 2brutal, no idea how this one would pan out. My guess would be Nelson via submission or UD. Unfortunately for CC.

According to a report from USAToday, Roy Nelson's manager Jessy Evans has confirmed the booking and the fight is coming to the UFC 137 event at the end of October.

At this stage I really fear for Cro Cop, I think he might end up going to sleep again. I really worry for his health at this stage and I don't know why he's taking a tough fight like this. Someone like Struve or even a Mark Hunt rematch is more appropriate at this point.

I agree with everything barring a Hunt rematch in 2011 I see Mirko going to sleep in a rematch.

i agree i fear for cro cop but im still hoping he wins.

I actually think Crocop can win this Dont rate Big Country at all.... And dont think Nelsen can get this to the ground.


If Crocop cant open up here against limited Nelsen then he is for sure done.

I think Nelson will take this. He's got a solid chin and Mirko has looked poor recently. Don't thin it'll be a classic though.

Mitrione-Kongo has been announced on the same card i think. I hope Mitrione pulls this one off.

I can't believe that Cro-cop is actually fighting again to be honest,I thought after his last loss,that would of been it for him in the UFC.
The Fertittas are definitely showing alot of loyalty to a guy they've always been big fans of.

If and that's a big if,he actually unleashes a few shots and keep doing it through out the fight,this is a fight he can win.I think he can keep Roy from taking him down,but he'll need to do more than that to get the win.
Can he pressurize and back Roy up in this fight?
judging him from his lack luster,timid performances he's been putting out,I won't be betting on it.

Roy to win a UD or spark Mirco with a wild haymaker is my prediction to how this fight finishes.

I'm really unsure on how the Mitrione and Kongo fight will go down,i'm hoping Mitrione pulls it off,but I think kongo might just be a step to far for him in his career yet.
