just a slight exaggeration there I think mate,because personally I can't think of anyone that is more deserving to be honest,I can only put Rashad,Rampage and Machida above him in the UFC rankings and there's good reason why none of them could take this fight.

I mean Rashad fucked his ligaments in his knee,so he couldn't fight,Rampage should of been the challenger once Rashad dropped out after his win against machida,but he came out and said he was offered it,but turned it down,because there was no way he could get from 250lbs to 205 in 6 weeks and the idea of someone getting a title shot on the back of two back to back loses like Machida has just gone,is daft.
At a push maybe there was Silva,but he came back with a dodgy blood sample,(not that I think he's more deserving anyway,he's not beat the caliber of fighter Jones has and he's 2-2 in his last 4,plus his last win against Vera was nowhere near as impressive as what Bones did to him)

So who does that leave in the UFC LHW division that is more deserving for this title shot then,Forrest,Lil Nog,Randy ?????

I love both fighters and can't wait for it to happen,the butterfly's are growing for it as I type,I'm predicting Jones but I'm firmly on the fence come fight night on who I want to win,I just hope it's a great fight,but anyway it could be said that going 6-1(yeah using that dodgy 1 against him)in the UFC is more deserving of a shot at the UFC title compared to Shogun's 2-1 to get his Title shot,and then getting an instant rematch after falling to 2-2 in the UFC.

Forrest Griffin is clearly more deserving! A former champion who holds a win over Shogun and is coming off a good win over Rich Franklin.

There has never EVER been a title shot given to a fighter who has accomplished as little.

Shogun didn't deserve his title shot but he was given one based on actually having done something in his career.
