Firstly, this will double as the opening round of the Cup competition. This will be a straight knock out competition with entrants for this round paired up against each other. The tournament structure will be determined once I have everyones entries for this round and will depend on the number of people who enter. As is Armbar tradition, you can challenge another player for your first round match up. As long as the challenge is accepted, that will be your first round match up - I think redmeanie77 and payneNglory1 have already signed up for their trilogy match. Otherwise, the match ups are drawn at random. There will be a prize for the Cup winner and at the moment, it is likely to be a Frankie Edgar t-shirt but that could change.
The fights are numbered a bit strangely, this is to help me when scoring.
There is a special Antipodean Trump bonus this round as the UFC is in my part of the world. If you trump an Australian fighter (G-Sot, Noke, Perosh) and they win, you get 5 bonus points on top of the double score. This doubles to 10 bonus points for trumping a Kiwi (Hunt, Te Huna). Not much but could be the extra needed to see you through to the next round of the Cup.
Again, remember fights in red are double and can't be trumped.
Clear as mud?
